Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Check out these essential travel tips that will get your Wale vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, any vital medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and go for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
