• Most travelers are aware of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. There's plenty you can do to lower your risk. Don a pair of compression tights or socks, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.

The trick is to be well organized before you get to airport security. That way, you'll be boarding that plane to Wayside in no time at all. Follow these tips and get your trip off to a flying start:
