Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Zubra escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, important documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen feet and ankles are a common occurrence. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy work well.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help minimize this risk.
