Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Zurich could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful hints that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel docs, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some great options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
