“Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”

“The hotel was tired and crumbling in some areas. It had some visual charm. The room was spacious for the price. The shower pressure and temp were unpredictable. There were very drunk people in the bar and one man who was a resident of the hotel fell over in the courtyard. The staff were challenging why he had drank 3 bottles of red wine? but they shouldn't have sold him that much. He was clearly a regular. The high street was scary with beggars and people under the influence of drugs and...
