Beautiful views of the sea from the Ocean-view rooms! Staff, notably Alessandra the concierge, was very friendly and helpful! It was very windy during our stay, so the sargassum/seaweed built up horribly right in front of the hotel, but walking down the malecon a few blocks gets you to a really nice beach area. Lots of restaurants to choose from including the one at the hotel which served decent food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this area and hotel to others.

I recommend

One of the nicest hotels in the area with good location. Need a hair dryer in the rooms. Had its own restaurant beach club. The beach entrance is rocky. Nicer beaches further down the malacon. I would stay here again

The property looks nice outside. It’s the interior that needs a lot of TLC. No closet, No luggage rack, towers & sheets are old, dirty, stained. The restaurant is good

We had a good stay at the Aquastar hotel. However, the water coming out of the tap of the Jacuzzi (the main reason for chosing the hotel) obviously comes out of the sea more or less uncleaned and therefore was brownish and smelled like seaweed making it uncomfortable to use. Also the beach was full of seaweed and smelled accordingly. While the natural phenomenon is of course not the hotel's fault, not cleaning the site (as opposed to other parts of the beautiful beach) is. The hotel and room themselves have been clean and the staff superfriendly. Nicer beach areas are easily walkable.
