Snow Plough Left behind after the recent snows perhaps? It's stamped on the other side as belonging to West Sussex County Council and now it's been left on the eastern side of the open ground in Chilgrove village. Behind the plough is the crossroads of lanes leading away from the village.

Unnamed Lane Its straightness suggests it was laid out when the surrounding land was enclosed. It also gives a good idea to how the land undulates around this area. The junction with Hylters Lane is just over the brow.
