"We stayed at Gray Manor Hotel as a base for visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury, and it was in a great location for both. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, and the staff were lovely — very chatty, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a little dated and in need of some TLC in places. That said, the continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, with a great selection and everything fresh and well presented. One of the standout features was how pet friendly the hotel is, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a pleasant and relaxing stay in an ideal location for exploring the area."

"Clean room picked riverside four poster . Not really a great riverside view due to flat roof . Water in the evening for the shower was like warm We did mention it and the morning it was sorted . Parking was good and easy . Lovely walk into the city . I thought breakfast was included and considering we already paid £215 midweek I think it was quite expensive without breakfast "

"The property was well located for an overnight stop on our way from Heathrow to family in Devon. Check in was smooth and staff welcoming. Room was ok. Bathroom floor prob needed a clean round edges as fluff and couple of dead flies were behind bathroom door. Shower was very hot. Hard to control temperature and at times was near scalding. The curtains in the bedroom had seen better days. Not hung properly so overall look tired. Bed sheets were clean and bed was comfy. Coffee and tea making avail but we didnt use. Lack of plugs made it difficult to dry hair as only mirror was on opposite wall near door. Breakfast: As it was a Bank Holiday Monday on the hotel info said served till 10.30am instead of the usual 9.30am. We arrived at 9.15am and told all the hot buffet items were finished but we could help ourselves to fruit and pastries, yoghurt. We were offered a cooked breakfast to order by staff. It would have been nice to know that May Day BH was not included in your regular later serving hours. Overall I had a good sleep after a long international flight. For the price paid it was fine. So minor adjustments in the decor and cleaning could be improved."

"Although my room was small it had everything you could need for a stay. The choices for breakfast were poor. I have a sulphite intolerance so I couldn’t have anything with grape based products in. Many of the cereals were therefore out for me and the rest were more for children. No fresh fruit apart from a fruit salad which also has grapes in it. All the staff were great and very helpful. Drinks in the bar a bit overpriced but plenty of choice. Generally we enjoyed our stay."

"Great hotel full of character. Next to the river and a short walk into the main town. Parking available at the back of the hotel. Staff were great, always friendly. Rooms differ from modern to very old. Rates are reasonable and the breakfast delightful. Have stayed here many times always good."

"I thought it was such an interesting hotel, obviously steeped in history, which is captured well in its decor and design. The look and feel of it is warm and inviting. The flooring on the second floor seems a bit weak, but other than that, everything was fine. The bed was smaller than what we're used to, but comfortable, the bathroom clean and the temperature pleasant with the window cracked. The front desk staff were very helpful when we needed something or had questions about getting around the city and sight-seeing. We only wished we'd been able to grab a fast, affordable continental breakfast - even just a pastry - before we headed out the door. Would like to stay there again someday!"

"Room clean as usual, just one thing, the bathroom shower screen could do with a clean. Cooked breakfast was huge!! Good choice on the menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to help. Parking was ok. "
