I loved the service was excellent very friendly and helpful. Although there was a light cover missing in the lounge with wires exposed not good for children who wouldn’t understand not to touch although highish up could still access if standing on couch. Otherwise happy with our stay and would stay again!

The staff were extremely kind and accommodating upon arrive, helped us to our room and ensured we settled in nicely. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. We were met by the same kindness from other staff the following morning, overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely stay again.

Located on bus stop for convenience to get to airport or downtown. Walking distance to restaurants and some shopping. Older motel but clean, the guy (owner) was very nice.

The staff member (owner?) that we interacted with was really friendly and helpful and everything was easy. The unit was incredibly spacious and well set out. It was super handy to Canterbury Uni and other places we needed to go. Really good value - highly recommend it.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. They even offered to help with my laundry when rushing to leave and dryer wasn’t done yet. The building is dated and it’s not super walkable area but we had a car and it was super convenient to get to everything we needed from there. I would stay there again.

Excellent place near Riccarton and Ilam

I stayed almost two weeks in a one-bedroom suite. Although from the outside, Ascot Vale Motor Lodge does not stand out among the string of places to stay along Riccarton Road, my room was outstanding. It appeared to have been recently refurbished and had everything I needed (kitchen, table, couch, wardrobe, bathroom, and bedroom. The bed was good and the wifi worked well.

Staff that went above and beyond

Excellent stay - the place was spotless and well maintained. We booked super last minute after flight changes and came to the motel late. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding, even gave us new toothbrush and toothpaste as we didn’t have our check in luggage and only our backpack. That’s going above and beyond

Maybe for a night

If you need a crash and go near the airport, this is good place to stay. It’s in a neighborhood with other two story motels. Room was spotless and repainted, but had furniture from the past century with cheesy covers. Lumpy bed too. All towels were thin with tattered edges. Despite the windows, it was stuffy.
