Nice Family Stay Close to the City Center

We had a great stay – the location is within walking distance of the city center, the space was perfect for a family, and the beds were very comfortable.

Comfortable separate bedroom and very comfy recliner chairs in lounge. Kitchen has hobs for cooking. Very clean and friendly service from the staff. Plenty of parking. Still handy for walking into Te Pae convention centre (16 mins) or Riverbank Market further on.

Country Glen is our 'go to' accommodation in Christchurch. Affordable, modern and clean with great facilities and easy parking. Highly recommend. We always stay in an upstairs one bedroom unit, but ground floor units also available. :)

The Lodge is ideally located for seeing Christchurch. It has great facilities inside the unit to meet all of my needs. The staff were very friendly and professional. There needs to be at least two saucepans (there was only one) to make it easier to undertake the cooking.

Excellent value for money. Lovely hotel with seperate bedroom. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was modern and beautiful with great shower pressure. Could easily walk to downtown Chch. Only niggle was we stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and the Saturday night we struggled to get to sleep by 1am due to the traffic noise. Not really the cars but the noise from boy racer exhausts.

This was our second time staying here. The size of the family units work well for our girls weekend. Some areas of the rooms are showing wear and tear, but it is nothing off putting. The location great. A 1.5km walk into the city centre and nightlife. Also walkable to Merivale Mall. It can be a little noisy from street traffic, but nothing overly concerning. Staff is wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely and clean room and well set out. Small conveniences like a box of tissues or a special face cloth to use to remove make-up. Its on a busy road so there is is traffic noise but we would definitely stay there again because it was such a comfortable place to be.
