Beautiful hotel

We had a lovely 2-night stay at this beautiful hotel. It is in the old town but close to the train station, from where we took the Glacier Express. The property has a lovely charm and the staff are wonderful.

The hotel is dead center in Chur’s walkable old town. It was so convenient to saunter the winding streets, swing back to our room, then head out for more sights. Staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed their breakfast too. The room was minimal, which we prefer, and quiet. We’d be happy to stay there again.

Quick stay to catch the train, good stop

Just stayed the night in order to take the Bernina Express train the next morning, but overall very cute hotel. They were very helpful, breakfast was lovely the next morning, even though we were a little rushed to get the train. The room was cozy, had what we needed, I'm not a fan of carpet in hotels, so I would say it could be updated a bit, but overall nice stay.

Loved this charming property. For the mobility impaired: there are some serious stairs but the kindly staff will store anything you don’t need if you don’t want to lug it to your room. We also greatly enjoyed dinner in the restaurant.

This boutique hotel is in the middle of the historic district in Chur. It is surrounded by interesting shops and centuries-old buildings (and is itself built around a centuries-old foundation). The owners and their staff are helpful and friendly.

Great hotel in old town Chur

Fantastic hotel in a great location in old town Chur. Staff were very friendly and welcomed us on arrival, checked that we had everything we needed. Room was good, with some nice little touches. Ours was with the shared bathroom, which was no issue. It was kept very clean and was great to use, I’d have no problem staying here again.

If you’re on a budget this hotel is great. Easy self check in. Rooms are very small, only 2 power plugs in the room so hard to charge two phones and running a fan at the same time. No air conditioning, breakfast was basic. Excellent location.

Perfect spot in Old Chur

Perfect little gasthaus in Old Chur. Very easy and safe 6 min walk from train station. Hotel is a gem, perfectly clean and comfortable, in a great location, and historic atmosphere! Please note there are no lifts (as clearly advertised) if this is an issue for you. I found the stairs no problem. Breakfast was delicious. Also had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing. Highly recommend if you want an experience that’s not a chain hotel.

Clean, organised and convenient. The hotel may look like an older property, but the room and toilet was extremely clean, exceeding my expectations. The hosts were also organised and efficient with my check-in, sending instructions before arrival. The location is extremely convenient, walking distance to restaurants and attractions. I was also able to walk (10 mins) to the main train station with my luggage for the Bernina Express.

We loved Old Chur, and the Hotel Zunfthaus is perfectly located in the old city. While we very much appreciated the ancient character of the building, the furnishings were a bit TOO shabby and the bathroom so tiny we could barely fit in it. But the host was friendly and helpful and the breakfast good. All in all I would much rather walk up 4 floors to stay in this well worn establishment than use an elevator and have a larger room and bathroom in a shiny new plasticky place.

I took a Glacier Express from Brig to Chor and this was a last minute decision to book hotel in the old city and it was GREAT! Hotel was an easy walk from the train station, and Ian at the front desk was very accomodating. The restaurant at the hotel was top noch and I made reservation for dinner that night and really enjoyed my meal and presentation. Next morning I had a nice breakfast on the terrace, walked to the bell tower and church and took a train back...

The Zunthaus Zür Rebleuton hotel is a classic. We had a small room in the eaves, but it was affordable and comfortable - however we had a lot of stairs to climb with our luggage. There is no lift. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Smoking is allowed in the bar, so we did not spend time there. We did enjoy a bottle of wine and some snacks we brought in personally in the small lounge next to the restaurant. Thank you to the manager on duty to let us have that space to ourselves for a bit. Great location!
