"Do not take the hiking path that starts from the town of Vernazza, call a taxi to bring your luggage to the top! We made the mistake of bringing our luggage up the hiking path, which took an hour and 1000ft of elevation! Be wary of Google Maps and ask locals for routes. The walk from top to bottom is about 40-50 minutes, and some 10% inclines, but great exercise if you don’t mind the journey!
The view alone makes this worth it. Having a cappuccino and breakfast at the top of the mountain in the morning was the highlight of our entire trip in Europe! The owner was so kind and helpful and she offers all guests a 10% discount at their restaurant in one of the towns (I don’t remember the exact town unfortunately).
I will be staying here again if I ever come back to Vernazza!"
