예쁘지만 힘든 호스텔
오래된 저택을 개조해서 코지한 분위기로 만들었다고해서 예약 후, 방문. 적당히 친절한 직원들은 몹시 편의를 봐주었습니다. 다만 침대시트와 시설 전반에 많은 개미때가 저를 힘들게 했습니다. 침대를 걷어보니 비틀즈 껌이있었습니다. 그 주변에 개미가 가득했구요. 바로 올라갔지만 리셉션 마감시간이라 조치를 취할 수 없었고 새벽마다 개미를 잡느라 깨어야했습니다. 다음 날 살충제를 요청해 뿌렸지만 다음 숙소에서 짐을 푸니 개미가 나오기까지 하였습니다. 그들은 적당히 친절하고 적당한 조치를 취해주었지만 어디서 개미가 나왔는지 이해할 수 없다는 반응이었습니다. 하지만 저는 알겠는걸료... 식기를 위해 주방 찬장을 열였는데 곳곳에 빵가루가 가득하였으며 방 서랍 군데군데는 치우지 않은 쓰레기가 존재했습니다! 또한 경사가 심해서 캐리어를 가진 숙박객에겐 적합한 곳이 아닙니다. 자신들의 숙박시설 인근에 버스를 파악하지 못하는 것으로 미루어보아 그곳은 개인차량을 많이 이용하는 곳 같긴 했습니다만... 호스트라면 방문객의 편의를 고려해주시는게 어떨까 싶습니다:)

The Luggage is a heritage building with tons of character. We were escorted in by Tony and quickly checked in and shown our room. It was awesome tons of windows, so clean and spacious BEAUTIFUL!! The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast great and bountiful. Very close to the university, so lots of young people around the area. restaurants close by or a quick Uber/Bolt away. Saturday night (only night) very loud music from 10-1:30 and we were not a fan of it but kids!!

Super comfortable, clean, roomy and awesome!! Tony greets us and right from the start we immensely enjoyed our stay. Wonderful breakfast to start the day. The staff were all so accommodating.

Casa colonial rehabilitada, preciosa. Desayuno buffet variado. Bien comunicado. Todo bien, aunque la pega que le pongo es la hora de check in es muy tarde, las 3 de la tarde y el baño aunque era privado, estaba fuera de la habitación. Bien en general, lo recomiendo.

Muy mal, queríamos un hotel en Oporto y Booking, que me parece de lo peor, nos direccionó a este hotel, pensando que quedaba en Oporto, pagamos y cuando nos dimos cuenta del error pedimos la cancelación de la reserva y nos dijeron que no, no había pasado ni una hora. Cero consideración. No recomiendo The Luggage y mucho menos Booking, de lo peor

This historic building-turned-inn is terrific. It has been remodeled with all the modern conveniences while maintaining all of its old world charm. Suites are large with immensely high ceilings and huge bathrooms, common seating areas abound, the buffet breakfast is delicious, and it's within walking distance to the historic Coimbra university and botanical gardens. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Worst night of our vacation.
The apartment was not as described. It had no utensils, no dishes and no cooking equipment. There was no coffee maker or hot water heater. The young woman in charge made an excuse about it and did not offer any retribution. I had to walk out in the rain to the front of the building and ask for a coffee mug so I could heat water in the microwave for my own tea bag. The was no internet either. Also the shades did not work - some were stuck in the down position and others in the up position. The woman told us the people before us must have broken them.

Booked a suite….. Beautiful and historic house, lovely atmosphere. Modern & vintage: Excellent room: mattress, bedding all top notch, with very good bathroom : great shower. Good location. Very helpful and friendly owners, can definitely recommend. A new and fab concept in boutique hostel ! Breakfast simple and good.

Lovely building in quiet location
Stayed in a studio room, very spacious with cooking facilities however no utensils, cutlery etc etc. Seems strange to have a hob & microwave but no way to use them

This was a beautiful old house, well maintained with high ceilings and wood floors. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Very walkable to the university and restaurants. The area was quiet and surrounded with beautiful old houses

Das Frühstück ist nicht gut. Das Appartement ist ok, aber völlig lieblos eingerichtet. Die Türen haben nicht geschlossen, weder die Haustür noch die vom Badezimmer. Ein junger Mann an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und engagiert. Eine junge Frau war super unfreundlich, auch beim Check Out. Für dieses Hotel sind die Bewertungen eindeutig zu gut- vllt war es das ja mal.

The room was super nice with a balcony and view big windows!as well .What I was a little disappointed it is not close to the city center ! You have to walk around 10 min to be at city center. Coimbra is a university city ! Enjoyed the vibe !!!

We choose this spot randomly and wow did we ever get lucky !! Great spot ! It’s such a cute space to unwind and just relax. Has a very homely feel to it. Parking is a easy ! We only use our car to get to our stays then walk or transit. Everything was a short walk away. Love this spot !
