“We can not recommend this place where there were a lot af noise through the night from some kind of machine in the building. Furthermore it was rather hard to find - and there was no reception and no staff after 7 pm.”

The rooms are clean and are in good condition, however one main complaint I have is that the hot tub they have advertised in this place doesn’t exist and there is nothing there, the pool is okay but doesn’t seem like it gets cleaned regularly. “We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. Breakfast is included...

“Lovely, beautifully decorated guest house in heart of village. Rooms absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Fantastic rooftop views which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. There's an honesty bar in the lounge too! Our second visit to this lovely wee oasis in the sun.”

“Breakfast had such a great variety and everything was delicious! The set up of the b&b were great and it was a very clean location. Staff was wonderful and extremely nice and accommodating. The only thing is that the room did get quite humid/moist, but if you keep the window opens it helps. We would absolutely stay there again!”

“What a lovely place for a holiday. The pool was amazing and very sheltered when it was windy. Location is great, just a short stroll to the supermarket, restaurants or the beach. Or an Uber ride to livlier towns. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning with a good selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, meats and pastries. We particularly enjoyed the Pastel de Nata. Really good value and had everything we needed.”
