Hotel was convenient but no bar or dining though. Room was very hot had to get reception to turn radiators off and provide a fan. Woken up by room next door arriving at 3am and were very noisy.

House Rules
An interesting hotel…. Quite tired but yhe staff could not be more helpful. Arrived with Storm Babet which probably accounted for the water leaking through the light on the corridor! The house rules are like something from the last century but it was clean although my towels smelled damp.

Think Twice!
The hotel is way past due for an update. Our room smelled and there was no air circulation. The shower would not shut off and filled the room with condensation. Two days later it was still very damp in the room. It is an adult hostel level hotel. Not worth what we paid. On the bright side, the staff was extremely nice.

Close to busstation and citycenter. Very nice and helpfull staff. Some noise from the pubs close to the hotel.

Habitaciones surrealistas
Lo primero que diría es que las habitaciones son surrealistas. El suelo parece un tobogán, con multitud de desniveles, y el espacio disponible es ínfimo. No teníamos lugar para dejar las maletas ya que la cama de matrimonio casi ocupa la totalidad de la habitación. Teníamos dos habitaciones (éramos dos parejas) y una de ellas era particularmente agobiante, con la cama contra la pared. Hacía algo de calor en nuestra habitación, pero no se podía abrir la ventana y no se contaba con climatización. El cuarto de baño era pequeño, pero por lo menos era correcto, Otra cosa es que a veces el agua no tenía presión. El desayuno costó 10 euros por persona. Era bastante austero, ya que no había variedad. La habitación de mis amigos tenía un fuerte olor a piés. Otro detalle era la colocación de los secadores de pelo: en nuestra habitación estaba en el cabecero de la cama; en la de nuestros amigos, debajo de la tv, casi en el suelo. En definitiva, lo mejor fue la amabilidad del personal. Atendieron todas las cuestiones que les planteamos sobre la ciudad. Recomendaría otro hotel para visitar la ciudad, ya que el precio no es precisamente barato y su calidad es muy mediocre (como un una estrella, si acaso, en España)

Du får hvad du betaler for
Gammel hotel med knirkende gulve. Jeg vil beskrive det som rustik. Det ligger rigtigt godt og tæt på centrum. Tv på værelse virkede ikke, men wifi er god nok til at streame fra. Morgenmaden er bestemt ikke eur 10 værd, og man skal være professionelt chaffør for at bakke ud af p pladsen. Helt perfekt til en enkelt overnatning eller to - tag det som en oplevelse. Personale er smilende og venlige men ung og uden erfaring i hotel branchen - det giver en hjemlig atmosfære. Hvis man vil have 5 stjerner skal man finde et andet sted.

Cons: - The doors are hard to open, since it rubs against 2-3 layers of carpet. - The rooms have no floor space, to put suitcases without tripping over them - The bed is hard - Some of the pillows had stains - Two taps for hot/cold water both in the shower and sink - Cursed picture of a little girl in the shower - You shower standing in a bathtub, which is slippery even with the provided rubber mats - The whole bathroom gets wet and slippery after a shower Pros: - Nice and friendly staff - Good location

Clean quiet stay! The rooms look nothing like the pictures, the hotel hasn’t been renovated for 50 years. It feels like you’re staying at your nanas house. Staff are friendly and pub across the street is great!

Die Zimmer waren für den Preis absolut nicht ok. Bettwäsche war zwar frisch gewaschen aber man konnte trotzdem die Hinterlassenschaften vorheriger Gäste sehen. Das nimmt man eventuell in einer billig Absteige in Kauf. Positiv war der Parkplatz im Hof, der Nachts verschlossen wurde.

Good location and fair price
But very noisy at night. Comfortable enough, staff often seemed a little clueless. I was amused by the fact that they were not serving breakfast "due to covid restrictions" (in July 2022, nowhere else was under these restrictions) but had a sign in their window advertising for a breakfast cook! A little annoying as none of the local cafes opened before 8 (the one I was recommended didn't open until 9.30) and I needed to get out early in the mornings.

The place is quite dated but the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was clean and well kept. I was very pleasantly surprised. Quie expensive though.

Smelled when window was shut
We had two rooms for our family. One smelled bad if we shut the window. It was hot in the room so having the window open wasn’t a problem. The other room was warmer as it was up another floor. It remained hot in the room all night. It is in city center which is great for nightlife but no so great if city noise keeps you awake.

Hotel from hell
The Ashley hotel is the closest thing to a homeless hostel I have ever stayed in. On arrival checking into the room I discovered that the pillows had no pillowcases on, the pillows were stained and well worn. The hotel decor was like something out of a 70’s horror movie. Different colour carpets. The room had wood chip wallpaper which was peeling in parts. The bathroom had a mishmash of 3 different tiles. In general it was a horrific stay in a substandard hotel which was way overpriced.

I worked in the hospitality industry half my life and the attention to detail was immediately evident to me upon arrival. Ive been traveling five weeks and this has been my quietest most restful stop. I love walking and the access to a river walk all the way in to town was a big plus for me. Has all the warm and friendly feel expected of a family run B&B with the profesional detail of a hotel. Love this place!

Location was amazing and the staff was super friendly! However, the parking can be a bit tight, so I'd recommend the Q lot. The hotel is charming and old, but the lack of some amenities promised on sight and on signs in the rooms was disappointing and did cause issues during our stay. Overall, it was great for passing through Cork!

The Ashley needs a complete overhaul. No breakfast supposedly because if Covid but the bar was open with seating. Limited drink as they ran out. It was clean and the staff lovely but overall condition very poor

We had booked twin beds for a night that cost €103.53. Instead we were given a tiny room with a double bed because they supposedly had no twin bedrooms left. The room smelled damp, and the mismatched furniture was depressing. There was an old poster of "Out of Africa" hung on the wall, because nothing screams safari like Cork. It was cold because the heater was not working. The woman (who was not the manager) at the reception was kind enough to give us a tiny electric heater, and it's thanks to it that we didn't die during the night. The bathroom also had a bad smell, and the tub's drain stopper was removed to ensure we would not be able to enjoy a bath. On on our way out, we noticed the maid was cleaning a much nicer room with twin beds and nicer furniture, Unsurprisingly, that room had been given to Irish people.

Dear Elmina, thank you for your feedback. Firstly, as it was explained to you on a few occasions by members of staff - you did not book a twin room for your stay but a double room (I would like to refer you back to your booking confirmation). However if we had only a twin room available we would have offered it to you but we were fully booked on that day already. Every bedroom in our hotel is individually decorated and I am sorry to find that the decor was not to your liking. In fact that room is one of our guests' favourite. Stay safe!
