Spectacular place to stay
We greatly appreciated the comfort, cleanliness and quality of our accommodation, and our wonderful hosts, Harvey and Sue. The view was wonderful and we had to pinch ourselves as to how lucky we were to be there. Thank you

Great location - really quiet and peaceful - with a lovely outlook. Just what we needed. Spent time just watching the bellbirds feed only a few metres away. Quite special. The hosts are lovely people - very friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast - more than we expected - and great company. We chatted over breakfast and had a lovely time. Thanks. Simon & Jill.

The property is set in a peaceful location with gorgeous views. A perfect spot to relax and unwind and enjoy Kiwi hospitality. The room and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast with the hosts and other guests was the highlight and what made the stay extra special.

Edwin and Helen were a delight! The view of the surrounding area was stunning. The room was beautiful, clean and met all of our needs. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the "chat" and recommendations for what to visit next. Bailey was an extra special treat!

Quiet spot on a hill overlooking the bay. Comfortable rooms and beds. A peaceful place to come home to after a day's activities. Great breakfast! Nice hosts. Book early!

Relaxing stay
Stunning views from the terrace of our comfortable room. Lovely friendly hosts Helen and Edwin. Out of town but so peaceful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Des hôtes absolument charmants....prendre le petit déjeuner avec eux a été un véritable bonheur, tant pour la qualité que pour leur compagnie. Et la chambre ..parfaite avec une magnifique vue ....Allez-y sans aucune hésitation...

Parfait !
Les propriétaires sont des gens très accueillants, gentils et chaleureux. La chambre etait magnifique, la vue une vraie carte postale. Le petit dejeuner était excellent, copieux, varié. Je recommande cet établissement douillet où on se sent comme chez soi. Merci encore aux propriétaires pour cette parenthèse parfaite !

The homestay is a little secluded on top of a hill with a stunning view on Whitianga. The room was spacious and clean. The hosts absolutely lovely and welcoming. We really enjoyed the family environment.

Excellent Stay
Beautiful house, lovely owners, extremely comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast, set high up in the hills over looking Whitianga with lovely views. A 5 minute drive to the town centre. Would definitely stay again.

First Rate
A delightful place to stay. Initially concerned that we weren't within walking distance of the town but actually the location and views more than compensated. The room was pristine, home cooked breakfast superb, other guests pleasant and engaging and the hosts, including Bailey, made this the most enjoyable of stays. It was my first homestay but I'd definitely do it again.

The view, the view
Beautiful view, a bit of a drive into town for dinner but the view more than makes up for it. Delicious breakfast, friendly hosts.

Beautiful home stay!
We had a beautiful time staying here. The location has amazing views and it is so peaceful and relaxing. Such lovely, friendly and helpful hosts and we would love to visit again one day!

Gorgeous room with a private patio
Edwin & Helen are the perfect people to own a B&B- very friendly & helpful without being intrusive.The view from our patio was spectacular-gardens, forests,horses & the town & ocean down in the distance.A real treat to stay there.

Peaceful comfortable location wonderful hosts
Excellent location for exploring the superb Coromandel peninsular. Out of town but easily accessible and very peaceful with impressive elevated views over the town and bay. Lovely welcoming hosts in modern and comfortable home. Impressive breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stayed there for a couple of nights, during our visit to NZ. Very good value for the money: large room, beautiful view, very nice and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast. It more than made up for the fact that the location, a few miles out of town, wasn't perfect for us.

Wonderful full breakfast, including hot and cold options. Spectacular view overlooking the bay and large, comfortable room with ensuite. We very much enjoyed our hosts as well.

We had wonderful time here with the hosts during our honeymoon. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and the view was amazing. We can recomend this place very warmly.

Stay here. It's the best!
If you want a spacious ,comfortable and beautiful room with lovely hosts ,a magnificent view and delicious breakfast ,stay here. Everything is top notch and picture perfect. The hosts even offered to do our laundry . We enjoyed having dinner with them our last night and wish we could have stayed longer.

Ohuka Place Homestay is a 2 guest room home in the suburbs of Whitianga. The home is situated on the hill overlooking the peninsula with gorgeous views from our room. Edwin and Helen (homeowners) are there to accommodate your every need including a home cooked breakfast every morning in their kitchen. Ohuka Place is only 8 minutes from the heart of Whitianga and very easy to get to. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean coupled with the hospitality of Edwin and Helen made the stay for 2 nights Over the top!!! Make sure you get detailed directions to the house. Ive asked Helen and Edwin to get some "Signage" to make the place easier to find.
