"This hotel is old and needs to be modernized. That said, it was clean, quiet, and well kept up. The concierge desk was extremely helpful. The location was also a big bonus: Union Square is a really nice area!"

"Please see my other review regarding the rats or mice that the hotel is obviously infested with. However there wasn't enough room to also add - the sinks and showers do not freely drain, there is currently no Cafe their as claimed (apparently closed for the season, but maybe it is because of the pest problem?), they do a coffee and cupcakes / pastries in the morning - the cupcakes are good but you could be waiting up to 25 mins for coffee to be refilled? Gym facilities are good. Safety of the neighbourhood is not great, it is right on the fringe of the tenderloin and I wouldnt recommend any hotels in this area if you are looking for easy vegetarian options - i was paying about $60-80 per day just to order in food. There is no kettle, microwave in the rooms and fridge doesnt come as standard, but can be requested."
