“Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-).”

“Great stay. Room well equipped with everything we needed. Ski in ski out worked well. We couldn’t get the wifi code to work all week so gave up. We did ask at reception for them to look at it which they did but it still didn’t work. Pool and hot tub great feature though could have been warmer! And perhaps slightly larger as a bit crowded especially at the end of the day. Building could have done with a lick of paint in places but general standard was still very high and was very impressed....

“Chalet was perfect for family of 4, and the swimming pool a bonus for the kids. Ski bus stop was very close, and its a beautiful area. On the listing the map shows the location as Les Esserts which was wrong - however in the end we were glad we were down in the valley on the outskirts of Morillon. In the mornings we got the ski bus to the telecabine, and after skiing generally walked back to the chalet which took about 15 mins. This was only possible as we left our rented skis in the hire shop...

“Great place to stay, just off the village square, right next to the Mont Blanc Hotel, and two minutes walk from Le Chamois Télécabine. A quiet, calm and convenient location - especially for getting on the first lifts. Could do with refreshing the cutlery and crockery as a couple of items missing, but that is the worst it gets. The only word of warning, make sure you order the bedding and towels beforehand as they are not included in the base price. ”

“This was literally the absolute worst hotel (really, it was more like a hostel) that I have stayed in either stateside or abroad. The property only allows you to communicate with them during two short periods daily around check-in and out. Their information indicates check in is not on the property. After needing to call for clarification, we were given a separate address that led us to the same location. There is no parking at the actual hotel because of construction. You have to park down the...
