Great place to stay
This is a great place for families. So many awesome activities are available for families. Our little kids loved it. Wish we could have stayed a few extra days.Hard liquor and easily accessible snacks in the room are nice, but within reach of little children is not a very good idea. Free and easy parking is great. The breakfast is excellent.

Cornel is one of the waiters staffing the restaurant for several years and is absolutely great, always paying attention to the customer needs. Highly recommend the place, we keep going back year after year.

Family vacation
High quality service, very professional staff and overall you don't feel like going home. I don't remember exactly the name (hope I got it right), but Costel was wonderful, so attentive and happy to help with anything. Our stay was excellent from when we checked in to the check out

Guter Landesstandard, nicht ganz billig.
Obwohl ein Doppelbett und ein Zustellbett (extra 15€ bezahlt) bestellt und auch bestätigt waren, war das Zustellbett lediglich am Gang im EG gestanden. (Zimmer OG) wir kamen um ca 21.20 Uhr an. Checkin. Die Dame an der Rezeption fragte ob wir beim Tragen des Bettes ins Zimmer helfen können. Es hat sich dann doch ein Angestellter geopfert. Das Restaurant schliesst um 21.30 (letzte Bestellung) obwohl wir um 21.20 da waren wurde darauf hingewiesen es wäre zu spät jetzt noch etwas zu bestellen. Ein tüchtiger Gastronom oder Hotelbetreiber hätte gesagt diese drei Sachen bietet die kleine Küche noch. Man hat es trotz niedriger Gehälter und hoher Arbeitslosigkeit nicht nötig. Frühstück war in Ordnung, die dröhnende durchaus gute Loungemusik habe ich selber leiser gestellt. Highlight war der Pool. Auch bier wurde sofort hingewiesen dass um 22.00 Uhr Schluss sei. Es gibt sicher günstigere, gleichwertige Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten dennoch eine Empfehlung.

Avoid.
Booked a deluxe suite, arrived late on the evening and they greeted me by saying they have no rooms left cause they overbooked. Okay, mistakes happen... expect on multiple booking services it seemed they still had rooms left. I had paid already and they (both the clerk and the general manager we called) assured me I'll be refunded promptly and I need nothing in writing from them, things will take care of themselves. Sure... expect they don't reply to the multiple calls/emails from Hotels.com and don't seem to even intend to refund me. How surprising. 5-Star service? No, far from it. What it's worth, the place looked nice, but not nearly as nice as in the pictures. Avoid, there's plenty of better stuff around.

Dear Sir, Your payment has gone to Expedia, not to us. We are truly sorry for the overbooking situation, but you have to understand we have done everything in our power to refund you. The manager has sent you the emails and conversations with expedia. Your money it's at Expedia not at us. There are several institutions in the middle, starting from the banks to the accounting department at Expedia. Please make a formal complaint to Expedia if the time take for the refund is too long. We are sorry for the inconveniance and we hope you will try our services in the future to give us the chance of redemption.

Un angolo di paradiso in Transilvania
Questo hotel è davvero una delizia a due passi da Brasov e Bran. Davvero bellissimo e curato in ogni particolare. Stanze grandi e dotate di ogni confort (noi addirittura avevamo una sorta di mini tablet da portare a spasso, con informazioni turistiche). Stupenda la piscina riscaldata con mini area SPA. Una menzione anche per la colazione, di qualità! Insomma un angolo di paradiso per coccolarsi un pochino durante un viaggio in Transilvania. Consigliatissimo!

Hot water problem in my room
The big problem with my room, an executive room was that there was no hot water. I paid extra and compromised with twin beds for the jetted hottub and ended washing up with barely warm water after waiting for almost one and a half hours for the problem to be fixed, as adviced by the front desk. The issue didn’t get solved and they said they are very sorry and the only thing they can do is downgrade me to a standard room, without any refund or compensation, as the other executive rooms were booked. I read in the comments that this happened before, but I thought half an year should be enough to fix it. Apparently not... and dealing with such a problem after you’ve been on the road for a good 5h is a great inconvenience. Other than that, the hotel is great for some R&R, away yet close enough to the crowded mountain attractions. I only tried a desert in the restaurant, but it was great... Too bad for the water issue and the shoulder lifting that came with it, otherwise it would have been a perfect stay.

Perfect
Accommodations are decorated in a Romanian folk style with a modern vibe. The hand-painted furniture and detailed carved wooden cabinets are stunning. The murals are awesome and the views of the Carpathians are absolutely incredible. The hotel staff, especially Cornel, were friendly, attentive and helpful. The fitness areas available are spacious, the pool has a hot tub and waterfall feature and the sauna is well-maintained. Free parking and a beautiful courtyard. Don't miss eating at the restaurant for dinner! By far the best Romanian restaurant we ate at. The food was authentic, fresh, hot and delicious. Nothing but love for this place- couldn't have imagined a more perfect accommodation!

Relaxing stay
Very pleasant stay. Facilities were good and standards very high. However rather small balcony, feels very overlooked. Wouldn't recommend as a great view of mountains as it was interrupted by other buildings Ect. Nice and cosy restaurant area , but food what we had wasn't great (although I would recommend cheese player!). Very friendly restaurant staff !

We stayed at this hotel for only two nights, but the experience we had was amazing. I did not expect such a great customer service ! I was surprised in a good way ! Starting from receptionist, waiters, maids, everybody has a great attitude towards the customers. The Hotel itself has a very traditional design. Thank you for your service, Daniel and Cornel, and compliments to the cooks for the deliciousmeals. Thank you, Conacul Ambient, for making our staying a great experience !

Nice hotel, super friendly staff
Close to Brasov, very convenient location for exploring the different sites. Hotel was very nice and clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. There's also a pool, sauna, basketball court & ping pong table for having some fun. Would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Better than the pictures
This was an amazing hotel. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable. The restaurant was closed for a private function, but they served me separate and made sure that I was able to eat dinner there. The head waiter, Cornel, is amazing and made sure to take great care of me for dinner, and breakfast the next morning. This is one of the few hotels where the rooms and the grounds look better than the pictures on the website. This hotel is perfectly located for a weekend of castle hopping throughout Transylvania.

Beautiful rooms
We had an executive room with an amazing spa bath - more features than usual spa bath - changing light colours! Beautiful spacious room very ornately furnished, crisp cotton bedding, very special rooms - very different to usual 5*. A few niggles - water pressure low so ages to fill bath, water warm /hot - not hot, safe broke. Breakfast fine, nice pastries but nothing special. Staff excellent. Restaurant really nice, tasty food reasonably priced - grilled chicken breast with home made chips £5. Excellent set up for families, great play park, tennis courts, ping pong - this did make it as bit noisy at breakfast and sitting on balcony but mainly with the less well behaved kids. Overall great hotel with dedicated staff and the rooms made the niggles worth it.

Excellent hotel close to Bran.
Got here late-.but they still managed to pull together some excellent dinner cheeses and sausages. Soren and the others were extremely helpful-loved it. Will definitely return.

Excellent and recommendable
The room was large with a large balcony. Leisure opportunities for children and adults (football, tenis, swimming...) are available. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good.

Nice hotel and very friendly - only downside was rooms were so hot all night - it was snowing yet we had to sleep with balcony door open as it was too hot to sleep and we couldn't seem to control the heating locally. For the rest all good. Great breakfast and Good dinner

Wahrscheinlich werden Hotelsterne in Rumänien unter dem Ladentisch verkauft. Aber den Anforderungen dieser Klasse genügt das Hotel sicher nicht. In der Pampa gelegen bietet das kleine, familienfreundliche Hotel sicher eine nette Unterkunft für Familien, wenn die Ansprüche an 5 Sterne eben nicht so hoch sind. Die Zimmer sind recht groß gestaltet, ein Whirlpool im Bad ein netter Spaß. Das Fenster im Bad mussten wir mit einem Handtuch als Sichtschutz abhängen. Die Dusche im antiken Look war nicht zu handhaben. Alles sehr sauber. Ein kleiner Balkon war schön, darunter der Kinderspielplatz, den man in Anbetracht des üppigen Platzangebots sicher auch etwas weiter entfernt hätte installieren können. Kein Telefon auf dem Zimmer und der Nachtportier schläft im Speisesaal auf dem Sofa. Leider erfuhr ich das erst am nächsten Tag, denn gern hätten wir noch ein Bier oder einen Wein getrunken. In der Minibar kein Bier, dafür große Flaschen Wein. Leider kein Korkenzieher vorhanden. Portier nicht zu finden. Wir hatten zum Glück noch etwas Wasser aus dem Supermarkt. Auch eine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer suchten wir vergebens. Die Speisekarte im Restaurant veranlasste uns dann doch noch, in die Stadt zu fahren. Das Bier gabs nur aus Flaschen. Die Tischgarnitur sah auch sehr einfach aus. Das Frühstück war es ebenfalls. Kein Capuccino - nur Retorte. Der Pool war klein und wurde von lauter Discomusik beschallt. Bademäntel in Kindergröße. Keine extra Handtücher, Seife alle. Lieber eine Pension.

Nice hotel near Brasov.
Nice hotel just outside of Brasov in an old Saxon town with Germanic architecture. Good restaurant in hotel. Close to city and surrounding areas.

Not a 5 star hotel! More like 3.5 star.
This hotel is not 5 star, I would give it 3.5 stars. No air-con in the room, no kettle and coffee accessories, no iron board and lots other missing. It has a very bad position, being situated in a village, absolutely no sight seeing; you need to drive for 15-20 minutes to reach the mountains. This hotel is way over rated. The self service restaurant is not so great and the prices are high. I visited this hotel in Feb this year, they wouldn't even leave the central heater on when the temperate was like 3-6C outside. It was quite chill inside the room most of the time. So we paid for a 5 star hotel which was trying to save money by not heating the rooms.

The town, where it, is just a village in the middle of nowhere. I had to take back roads to get to the hotel. I had to park my car on the street (and, I was worried all night if I find it in the morning). When I got through the gate, the reception was locked. I had to wait outside for 10 minutes until somebody came in. The food was horrible (yes, I know how good Romanian authentic food tastes like). On the checkout, the receptionist has muttered something back in Romanian (locals laughed in response). So, why is this hotel having 5 starts???

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was quaint and cozy and the room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the peace and quiet. The hotel staff was very helpful and the wait staff in the restaurant, in particular Cornell, were very pleasant and accommodating. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here.
