“Fantastic rural getaway location. Breakfast was wonderful and cooked to order by the host. Lots of options to choose from. Very comfortable beds. Great WiFi. Local village of Royal Hillsborough is beautiful with lots of lovely shops. You need a car for this location. ”

“Carol was an amazing host and had a wonderful home that she welcomed us into. The room was comfortable and made for a great first stop after an overnight flight. Breakfast each day was awesome and full of options! It’s also incredibly convenient to the ferry that takes you to Cairnyarn, Scotland. Highly recommended. Parking is a bit limited but not uncommon in areas like this. Just find a space and avoid the double yellow lines!”

“All good. Rooms big and comfortable. Shower spot on. Bar was a friendly place chatted with the locals. Sky sports and racing channel on what more do you want. Great fish and chip shop over the road all a contractor needs. ”

“Only 1night but a lovely welcome, clean room & shower. Excellent recommendation for evening food . We were to catch an early ferry & didn’t expect breakfast but cereals, fruit yoghurt toast & tea were all provided. Couldn’t be better ”

“We loved the view out the window, the separate entrance to our bedroom, the spacious bathroom with the heated towel racks, the breakfasts were delicious and the common areas with fireplace were cozy and welcoming. Avril does a great job making people feel at home. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Pear Tree Hill B & B.”

“Sehr freundliche und herzliche Gastgeberin. Das Frühstück war ein Traum. Stilvoll angerichtet, mit selbstgebackenen Brot und gescmacklich Hevorragend. Das Zimmer hatte zwar einen kurzfristigen Heizungsausfall, das wurde aber mit einer mobilen Heizung und der sehr warmen Dekch wieder wettgemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder und dann auch für länger!”
