Omg, amazing staff. The man at front desk was brilliant, spoke wonderful English and was happy to help wherever possible.
He booked extra nights for me at short notice, chatted about Cusco in general and gave good tips and advice.
Really enjoyed his vibe and kindness.
Rooms were brilliant, good size, secure, and quiet.
Highly recommend.
The hotel is close to the plaza and markets. Lots happening around. Good food, markets, Plaza is just a short walk on safe streets, with Inca Walls everywhere. I would stay here again.

This was a decent stay at a hotel for a really good price at the best location I could ask for. It was only a few minutes from the main road into the town square, from the rail station to Machu Picchu, the San Pedro market as well as other small local restaurants at local (non tourist) prices. The bed was comfortable and the hosts were very helpful even offering coca tea.
I do have to point out that the walls are quite thin I could hear next room guests talk. Also in my room's case, the bathroom window is exposed to the outside and Cusco overnight was a chilly 3 C degrees. But keeping the bathroom closed along with use of the room's portable heater was enough for a comfortable night's sleep.
I also should mention that there was a large crack between my bathroom and the one in the next room so we could actually see each other's bathroom lights. I mentioned this to the hotel and they said they would repair this even though I already checked out. I would still recommend this hotel providing they address some of the exposure issues since the price, location and hospitality are all quite good.

I am trying to keep in perspective what we paid, which wasn’t much at all. So it did meet expectations and the staff was absolutely amazing. They brought me a fan , because many hotels in Cusco do not have AC, and they held our luggage for us even after we checked out for a while. That being said, the worst issue was one they could fix. It was very bright. Some darker curtains would have went a LONG way. The window opened to a super nasty alleyway full of trash. That can be cleaned and should be. If you’re over 5 ft 8inches- you’re going to have to duck under the shower head, so we didn’t even try. TV said we could log into Netflix but then we were told they didn’t have it. So that was a bummer for just trying to relax late night and watch something in English was not possible. The pillows were very small and flat and there were only 2 on the bed. One for me and one for my husband, so we couldn’t get comfortable. I didn’t expect a lot of luxury of course, but maybe 2 more pillows would have went a long way. Staff was great, minor things I’ve mentioned could make it a lot better .
The hotel was not as described in the expedia site. The hotel was not close to the plaza mayor, and not a 2 minutes walk at all. The room that we get was old, carpet really old and not clean, super cold at night even with the old heater that we plug at night. But the worst was the bathroom. It has a window with wood blinds, that connect to the bathroom of another room, and we can hear and smell everything that happens in there. The location was not the best area in the historic place. We stayed the first night, then we travel to Aguas Calientes for the next night, and we get so late to Cusco the 3er night so we had to stay in Casablanca that night. Then, we checked out and moved to another hotel. Really bad experience. Not fair that you laid to the tourists and make them think that a hotel is good and it is not.
This was a lovely hotel, that appears to be owned by an 83 year old proprietor named Juan. I booked for two nights, and the room was very elegant with an upgraded television. I was able to plug an HDMI cable and stream movies from it. The breakfast is served... and not very well, this is the major downside. The eggs were decent but runny, and service was not the best. Peruvians are not known for service though. The son(?) of Juan - Juan Carlo appears to be the manager, and is very nice, if somewhat ingenuine. Overall it felt like a large four story bed and breakfast. If you can get a wonderful deal like $34 like i did very worth it. Full price I would have paid $50 at the hotel, and I had to pay half that to check out at 3pm instead of the required 9AM. Early check out makes it a little inconvenient. Spanish only, Juan Carlo does speak SOME english, but not much

O hotel estava sempre escuro, isso me incomodava.

Água fria no chuveiro.

Great location, clean, excellent price, and owners helped arrange transport to/fro Cuzco. They also picked us up at the airport. Such a great find!

Buena experiencia
Volvería a hospedarme ahí
The owner picked us up at the airport. The staff members are all very friendly. I’m happy that there’s a hair dryer for us to us. Free breakfast was great and they cook fresh eggs for us. When we went on the 5 day Salkantay trekkkng, the owner let us leave our suitcases in the storage. When we came back, the suitcases were already in our room. This is a sweet family run business. The hotel is very close to the central market which is great! Love this whole experience is wonderful!
