“Stop your Daintree hotel search, just book DWL - you won't regret it! It is a lovely boutique, micro-resort perfectly situated in the Daintree. Cabins/rooms are a stunning oasis. Serene and relaxing (though the critters can be loud at night). There are only eight cabins in total, so the property is always quiet, with very little human traffic roaming about. Staff are fantastic. Sasha seems to run a one-man show with support from a few others in the background. He offered many suggestions...

“Fantastic three nights here. The treehouse setting was magical the room was spotless, spacious and overlooked the serene lagoon. The staff were wonderful, helping us arrange excursions with ease, the spa and massages were absolutely lovely, and both times we dined the food was delicious with great cocktails and drinks. Overall a fab experience and would highly recommend!”

“The best part of Thala is the staff. It’s a little out of the way, a little hilly and hard to navigate but everything is forgiven by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Brett took us on a long and comprehensive nature walk doing everything he could to show us the animals and plants and explaining everything. When we had a flat tire Brett and Sam worked until they figured out how to fix it. Neither would accept even a tip. The stay was wonderful ”
