"This is the place to stay in Port Douglas. Everything is fabulous about By The Sea but it is the staff who make your holiday the absolute best. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is excellent & everything is there for you to have a wonderful holiday."

"The property is beautiful and well kept. All the common areas were quite nice. Beautiful waterfall and koi pond. The rooms are dated and in need of some refreshing. The carpets are dirty and there isn't much space in the room to put your things, just a small table. The breakfast is basic but has a little of everything. It's the same every day. Which could be a good thing or bad thing based on what you like. The price seemed expensive for what you get but everything in port Douglas is expensive."

"We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom Villa. It was perfect for our family of 7. Hotel staff was wonderful. Great looking property and fabulous pool area. Location is less than ten minutes from central Port Douglas. Access to the beach. We will definitely return for a longer stay!"
