What an amazing hotel! Very clean and modern. Our room was spacious. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. There is a wide range of choice for breakfast. I really like the property and rooms, the pics online dont do it justice. The beds are so firm, next long trip in dar es salaam, I will book for the bed alone. Pleasant surprise room 410 has a great view of the neighborhood and the sunset is ROMANTIC. I love the spacious bathroom with a window. The balcony is cute as well. The food is wonderful

It's a Boutique Hotel to me, it's decorated beautifully, however the Hotel staff is what makes it unique, everyone is genuinely happy to see you daily & want to make sure you enjoy your stay.

When I checked in, I was invited to a house party which I was told that it has been going on every Wednesday. That was really a nice taken very seriously by the hotel staff. Thanks the hotel manegement for keeping up this hotel cheerful. The rest is usual Southern Sun treat meeting travellers' expectations.

With the road construction in Dar, Protea was not close to the airport, but well worth the drive! This is a top notch hotel! The unnamed hotel close to the airport in Dar is in poor condition; but Protea exceeded our expectations! The courtyard is beautiful with the tropical plants and swimming pool. The free breakfast had the most variety I have ever been offered at any hotel, from American food, to Dutch food, to local food, to Indian food. I have never seen such a huge buffet for breakfast!...
