The only difficulty was for our room. It was on the second floor but the lift didn't actually go to the floor the room was on. It was a bit strange, so, after the first day, we avoided the lift for the rest of our stay. However, that was minor. In general, the room and the hotel were terrific. Customer was service was phenomenal and the breakfast was quite good. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay all around.

We had been traveling for about 18 hours when we finally arrived at the hotel. We were treated warmly and our room was ready even though we were there before check-in time. The room had a view of the water, was very clean, had tea and coffee in the room, along with biscuit snacks. The bathroom had a lovely shower, however it was impossible to keep the water inside the shower due to its design. We enjoy a full English breakfast which was delicious and more than enough. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room, which was very spacious. The bed was quite comfortable and the rooms seemed to be sound-proof because it was so quiet and relaxing. Livermead beach is located across the street; the beach is beautiful, but the sand disappears at high tide, so be sure to plan your beach day around this. We also loved the stunning views from the rooftop terrace bar. We would love to return to Torquay and stay here...
