"Kennedy House located in St. Andrews by the Sea N.B., is perfectly located on Water Street beside the Town Hall and across from Market Square and the main pier. It's a historic building proud of it's heritage. Beautiful front porch used by the restaurant. Good indoor restaurant and bar area with one of the most reasonable lobster dinners in town. Restaurant typically open 12-9 p.m. and often has evening entertainment. Staff is terrific. Front desk is not 24 hour and as such the front doors are locked overnight which is a good idea.
Our room was huge with bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette. A generous space well beyond normal hotels. The location of our room was very quiet and pleasant. However, I believe our room could do with some TLC.
After I dropped something under the bed, I discovered that it was being supported by 3 wooden cross braces held and supported in place by 4x4 timers. The other areas sagged significantly. We had an old basic window air conditioner that cooled but did not seem to dehumidify. Installation wasn't great as I could see daylight all around. I discovered that our sitting room carpet was screwed to the floor through the middle...found this when I knelt down and cut my knee on a screw. head. Toilet seat was not properly secured and the shower had a crack in the wall along with what appeared to be some mold where the shower walls met the top of the tub. Overall a great spot and I hope our room was just an exception."
