"I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding a maintenance issue I experienced during my stay at your hotel. On 9/13/2025 , I encountered a problem with the sink in the bathroom of my room. I promptly reported it to the front desk, but I was informed that the maintenance staff had left for the day at 7:00 PM and would not be available until the following morning. This is extremely inconvenient, especially considering that basic plumbing issues directly affect comfort and hygiene. More concerning is the lack of any alternative offered—no effort was made to either resolve the issue promptly or provide me with a different room. We fixed the issue by ourselves I would like to remind you that as a paying guest, I expect the room and its amenities to be in working order. If an issue cannot be fixed right away, a room change should be arranged immediately. What if the issue had been with the air conditioning or something more critical? Hotels of your standard should have either 24-hour maintenance coverage or a clear protocol for addressing issues outside regular hours—particularly when it impacts a guest’s comfort. I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously and consider compensating for the inconvenience caused. More importantly, I urge you to review your current policy so future guests do not face similar issues."

"The room was very clean and bright. My only complaint was the turnpike noise night. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay. "

"We stayed just one night to help our son move to an off campus house near Pitt. Our room was large and lovely - a grand old building lovingly restored. Parking right there and no extra charge. Just a few minutes from Pitt’s campus. Price was comparable to brand name hotels, but the place is much more interesting. We took a short Uber ride to dinner (love Butterjoint) and enjoyed a nightcap at the hotel bar, sleeping hard in our quiet room after moving and cleaning. The hotel’s bag breakfast was a snack to get us going for good bagels and coffee. Really the only minus there is the lack of solid breakfast and good coffee, and not big one. Will certainly stay here again. "

"A little out of the way but it does offer free parking. They do allow dogs so that might be an issue if an owner leaves a barking dog in the room."

"I was looking for a room for one night. I usually work remote, but I had to be in the office two days in a row, this week, in Pittsburgh. I wanted to stay somewhere out of the city. This place fit the bill. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were nice, and clean. It had everything I wanted. I would definitely come back."
