"Bed was comfortable. Ac was cold. Shower was hot. Now the downside was that it was in need of maintenance and cleaning. Breakfast was all but gone when we got to it. It’s a working town so I figured it gets hit hard with dirty people that don’t care and the workers don’t care much either. "

"We ended up checking out & did not stay at this property. The reviews were deceiving & property condition was much lower than expected. We had issues with no TV remote & our key cards wouldn't work, even after changing them out. The door latch was very loose & didn't feel secure. The exception was that staff was very friendly & helpful but we decided to stay elsewhere. "

"Staff was nice, room smelt horrible like smoke, all of our belongings stink, our kids asthma got so bad in this "non-smoking" room, sheets with stains, there was pee all over the toilet and shampoo grime on the bath tub with light bulbs unscrewed as if someone else had been staying there."

"The bathroom was very clean, spotless even, so that was nice but everything else was quite dirty, especially in the common areas of the hotel - the gym was gross and hallway floors were very dirty. Sadly the pool was closed so we didn’t even get to try it, which sucked because we specifically chose this hotel (at a higher price point I might add) for the pool. But if it was as dirty as the rest of the building then it’s probably for the best anyways. My daughter and I missed out on breakfast but my husband and son said it was better than some other hotels we stayed at this week, on our road trip through the states. The later checkout time is nice but kind of pointless if breakfast still closes at 9 and pool isn’t even available."

"Staff seemed on top of it, very well kept. Only complaint is that I did find two hairs in my oatmeal 😅 unfortunately we didn’t have time to check out the pool or gym but if it was as clean as the rest of the hotel then I’m sure they were excellent. We also really enjoyed the bedding, the blanket was very comfortable. Definitely recommend this hotel"

"There weren't a lot of places to stay in this town. Staff was wonderful but by the time I paid for the room and our fury, I found it quite expensive for the value and the area. I am always surprised how few hotels in south Texas are pet friendly. "
