“Words cant express how amazing this place and the staff are!”

“Another wonderful stay! The property was as lovely as ever and staff is superb! I love returning here each time. We had 90-minute massages that were incredible, I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep. Can’t wait to be back there again!”

“Un lugar espectacular para vacacionar. Tranquilo, muy bien equipado, hermosa vista. Sólo que se debe mejorar las indicaciones para llegar, la indicación no es tan precisa las aplicaciones pueden llevarte por un camino más corto pero intransitable para vehículos sencillos.”

“Everything about Drake Bay Getaway was excellent. The view from the room was stunning. The room itself was perfect with a balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The restaurants food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. I would stay here again and again. I liked it so much I extended my stay.”

“The place is located very close to one of the two entrances of the Bahia Ballena National Park. The staff was very helpful and willing to assist in any of our requirements. The place is well maintained and very clean. The manager was very professional and kind with us.”

“10/10 recommendation for couples. Jimmy was a great cook and very friendly. He’s definitely an asset. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was very relaxing and refreshing. First time in Costa Rica and it was perfect staying here.”

“Everything was very good clean, and the stuff was very friendly”

“The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas....

“Excellent experience, loved every second. All staff are very kind and helpful.”

“Lovely property. Full of trails in its reserve. Went to the shore - 20 minutes through the woods - to the most magnificent and wild shore. Like heaven! Also went to the natural pool and waterfall - beautiful and cool! The garden, the ocean view from every spot, and the natural and simple wooden rooms - all was a great scene for nature. Dishes of the hotel restaurant (lunch/dinner), not cheap but very tasty. The only thing we missed is an umbrella (which was a must in any other hotel this time...

“Property made me wait over an hour and tried to say they didn't receive payment the property doesnt look like the pictures the parking is absolutely terrible.”

“Perfect oasis by the river! Privacy and tranquility, with a pool and bar just steps away.”

“Lovely staff, great food, as others have said it's very rustic which depends on your point of view how you take that. I loved it however, both ATV transfers we asked for didn't materialise which, esp for the route back, was mildly annoying. Being in the room whilst it was raining cats and dogs during the night was incredible”
