“St Marys Gate Inn looked extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming in the photo's online. Believe me when I say, it is much much more when you arrive. Welcomed by Lola on arrival (we were much earlier than expected) we were shown a table for Sunday lunch straight away (Food is excellent both flavours and presentation). The room was exceptional, huge main area, immaculate bathroom, tea and separate coffee facilities in the room, two huge windows. Bed was very comfortable, just a very relaxing...

“좋았습니다! 개트윅 공항에서 생각보다 거리가 좀 있었구요 지역 버스를 타고 가려니 안내 해 주시는 부분이 약간 이해가 안가기도 했구 버스 내린 뒤에 호텔까지 가는 길이 밤이여서 그런지 사람도 없고 스산한 느낌이였습니다. 근처에 마트는 개트윅 공항에서 호텔로 가는 버스 정류장 앞에 있는 마트가 제일 가까웠구요 객실이나 서비스는 다 무난하게 편하고 잘 쉬다 왔습니다!”

Overall, a lovely experience with the spa as the true highlight.”

“This is a very well kept, boutique type hotel. I would definitely return. It’s a 20 minute walk to the water where there is many good restaurants and pubs. We came by train so very convenient and easy to find!”

“This hotel is conveniently located near the airport, which made it very easy to access after a long travel day. Since I had to check in after hours, the staff arranged for my room key to be placed securely in the mailbox, making the process smooth and stress-free. The property felt safe, was clean and well-maintained, and offered a comfortable environment. Considering the price, it provided excellent value for the location and amenities. I would definitely choose to stay here again if the need...

“Service is friendly and impeccable. The food is superb and much of it is grown on site in the kitchen garden (daily tours available). We had a birthday dinner party for 12 adults in the Garden Room and we were looked after incredibly well. Lovely scenery at no extra charge! Hugely recommended. Best to stay in the main hotel if you can rather than the wagons or sheds. ”

“it was a convenient accommodation for our southdowns walk with the option of catered meals which was welcome and the use of a kitchen if you wanted it - we used the kitchen to make additional drinks great location for walkers on the southdowns way”

“We stayed in an economy twin room, for one night, which was very clean and in a quiet location towards the back of the hotel. We were not bothered by noise from the bus station. The shower had a strong flow and quickly ran hot, which is always a plus. The full breakfast was included in our room rate and was good including local sausages. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. For us the hotel had a bit more character and quirkiness than some of the bland chain hotels. We enjoyed our stay.”

“Great stay! Was upgraded to nicer room on arrival. Comfy beds, lux bathroom, tea/coffee and fresh baked cookies - heaven! Walked to Amberley Black Horse pub for drinks & snacks (and board games) then back to hotel for their 5 course tasting menu - most enjoyable! ”
