“Nice quiet spot, parking alongside, and big surprise we were not expecting was the fabulous food in bar/restaurant in the evening, lovely selection and well presented and far beyond what we may have expected from a small hotel like this, next day breakfast also good, all in all highly recommended. ”

“What a great spot. It’s been a while since we stayed at a B&B so we were not sure what we would experience. The owner was great, personal, friendly and with a lot of great tips about the area. Room was clean and well organised, with a well-stocked minibar. The rest of the house was also well-kept and clean and the outside area was definitely the highlight with a Chimea, a paddock full of sheep and a nice little walk down to the river. Great breakfast was served in the breakfast area...

“Very quiet and serene. Looks and feels like newly renovated. Very clean and pleasant. Close to a scenic drive to the southern tip of the island. Though it is about 20 minutes drive from the nearest restaurant. But you can always cook. Very nice experience especially for city folks.”

“We had a lovely, peaceful stay. My husband and I along with our son, his wife and two year old daughter had a wonderful five days in Lucindale. Our grand daughter loved the paddymelons, that were always grazing on the lawns. Surprisingly we were patient enough to see two of the resident platypus in one of the prettiest ponds I have seen. The bedrooms and living areas were very comfortable and the kitchen had all appliances needed to cook a family meal, although there are plenty of restaurants...

“We arrived on a cold, wet afternoon and were delighted to find the fire alight and lights on. The welcome supplies in the fridge and fresh fruit were very much appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and warm. Beautiful decor and art works. The information provided on the artists and history was appreciated as well.”
