“What a charming hostess was Joan & her entire staff. Daniels cooking was superb & under not the easiest of conditions.We felt very close to nature here.Having booked through Expedia we had no tour operators & so did all our liaison with the lodge re transfer from Kisoro air strip & back, Gorilla permits, village tours etc. Joan we will never forget you & your beautiful family.My wife cried with emotion when she saw the Gorillas. A life changing experience for us in so many ways”

“My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....
