“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place”

“La Plume was gorgeous-the best place that we stayed during our journey of the Garden Route. The suites were so nicely appointed and super spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we were disappointed that we missed dinner (it was only a 3-course meal). I loved taking a bath in the beautiful bathroom and went for a run at sunrise through the ostrich farms. It’s only about a half hour from Cango Caves. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. “Great place to say between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp. Owners are very helpful and accommodating. Cottages are old and quaint but in a very peaceful setting.”

“Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February. The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. ”

“Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite ”
