"Beautiful hotel located directly across from the National Garden, in a very peaceful part of town. The Design room was gorgeous and spacious and had a lovely view of a series of shrines across the street. Reception was wonderful and allowed me to check in to my room very early, were very welcoming, professional and provided great service - thank you again for the great stay!"

"Spent four days at Gagakuan, satisfied, although unexpected cold weather even in spring. Late sakura blooming, still managed to view some. Did not follow tour, rather venture on our own. Visited places of interest but unable to cover all due to insufficient time, maybe next time would to come again. "

"Had a pleasant stay, the hotel is close to Kyoto train station and easily walkable. They offer welcome drinks, as well as a drink bar. The rooms are spacious and clean, really enjoyed our stay!"
