“This hotel feels like a youth hostel with its lack of personnel or lobby / space to hang out, but our room had enough space for a family of four, which even included two toilets, a table and sofa, although only two dining chairs. Advertised as "eco-friendly" for its lack of routine cleaning was a bit odd, as we had to take out our own rubbish, but overall, it was fine for our needs, which was to explore Kyoto. We liked the walking distance to local cafes, a grocery store, and to Nijo-jo Castle.”

“Very clean and good hotel”

“The only issue with this place is it's location. Seriously it's very isolated and difficult to get to. If you are going to be carrying luggage, it would be annoying. We planned ahead and left our luggage at Kyoto's main station, and only brought a smaller travel bag with us to this area because of it's remoteness. The statff was very friendly, the rooms are HUGE compared to most Japanese hotels. We were happy there, but only because it was a short stay. ”
