"The air conditioning didn't work. When we notified staff, they said they would fix it, but didn't. It was an uncomfortable night's stay."

"We stayed for one night at Skyland in the Shenandoah National Park on a recent visit to Virginia. We booked a ‘Traditional Room with 2 Queen beds’. The room was lodge style with a small terrace. Check-in was easy and we were able to park outside our room. The amenities and the room are basic and ‘tired’, but as expected. The beds were comfortable but the quality of the bedding was best described as ‘old’. The room had a musty smell but appeared clean. Although there was wifi it wasn’t really usable. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. The hotel, although basic and not cheap, is in a great location. We enjoyed walking the Stony Man route to watch a beautiful sunset and then hiking a few other routes to enjoy the beauty of the National Park. "

"The room and hotel was great... I thought the $8 bottled water in the room was a bit excessive, I would recommend bringing your own water into the hotel."

"We never got housekeeping and replacement towels, which would’ve been nice. Staff was friendly and overall stay was very nice."

"Front desk was very friendly. Property is clean. I felt safe. There is a convenience store within the block. We were there for a weekend and the hotel is convenient to JPJ Arena and other sports complex’s. I recommend the Super 8. There is no breakfast on site. But room has microwave and fridge. "
