“There was no air conditioning in the room, so it was so hot I had to leave the front door open. Also, the noise from the cars on the road was so loud that I couldn't sleep well at night. And when I checked in, the hospitality was incredibly rude.”

“Wish we had read the reviews. We probably wouldn't have booked. Definitely not value for money. No real amenities, not even a bar of soap in our ensuite room. No tv, pretty much a bed and towels. Water was lukewarm in shower and we were worried it was going to flood until hubby used his foot as a plunger for drain . Pub music only played till 11pm thank goodness.”

“We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, and the room was very clean and well organised. The bathroom, towels, shower, microwave, dishes, and hand wash were all provided — almost everything we needed was available. It is a perfect place to stay for a night after finishing a Hobbiton tour.”

“We are a family from southkorea for vacation. This lodge was so good to enjoy rural area's beautiful view and MS.Shona and her husband were so kind. I needed to find a good hotel which is close to hobbit village and that was why I choose this lodge. It was so nice to have this kind of experince. ”

“뉴질랜드의 목가적인 생활을 엿볼수 있는 좋은 체험”

“Stunning Property. Beautiful location and gardens. Sue is an excellent host. Great breakfast and excellent coffee.”

“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton. The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”
