"Beautiful traditional French family home in stunning surroundings which we was delighted to stay at, on arrival the dog roxxy greeted us with a huge smile and we spent 10 minutes playing football with her, the owner Roch is a top man , very friendly and easy going. He made us a early breakfast as we had to be on the road early morning to catch our ferry , delicious tea , croissoint and homemade pear jam. From our two weeks of travelling around Spain and France i can honestly say this was the nicest place we stayed it felt like a home away from home. Excellent"

"My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours. "Very helpful Staff, clean room and public areas, dog firendly, free parking adjacent to the hotel. My personal opinion is that the Dinner and Breakfast costs are too high for a 3* Hotel. The qualioty of food was excellent but as a traveller staying only for 1 night I did not need such expensive meal options. In fact I declined breakfast because of the cost"
