Pleasant stay, very limited menu for dinner in restaurant

No elevator, so he was nice enough to carry my suitcase up the steps for me.

It was a beautiful place to stay, very accommodating.

Overnight stop to break up the journey from Calais to Alps, a bit unusual, but just what was needed, our son thought it very funny that he was in a bunk bed above our double bed, the room and facilities were a bit tight, but for an overnight stay they were all that we needed, and very clean and comfortable. Just of the motorway so didn't take up any time to get to, but with fantastic double glazing, so a quite nights sleep.

The little apartment was great, clean, tidy and well equipped. Only challenge was the pullout sofa bed was very creaky and therefore not the best night's sleep. Lovely place and lovely town.

It was a perfectly pleasant experience and suited my purposes of a nice break from driving

The hotel itself is an old French chateau and has the wow factor. The room we stayed in was also lovely. However, it isn’t without its problems. For us, we had booked a family room with 3 beds but the room we got only had 2 beds. When i raised this with the staff, there was no attempt at an explanation they just said all the other rooms were occupied. It wasnt the best customer service I’ve received. There were also a number of smaller things that add up to give the impression of a hotel that isn’t particularly well run. Shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty. Complimentary bottle of water with a bottle cap but no opener. Plug sockets that don’t work. Duvets untidily slung into the bottom of the wardrobe. Coffee machine located nowhere near a working plug socket. Essentially, when you get past the fantastic exterior, it’s just an average hotel. Possibly below average.
