Deutsche Bank Twin Towers featuring modern architecture and a high rise building

These tall towers stem from one modern, glassy base that is used as the backdrop for financial topics on television across Germany.

At a height of 509 feet (155 meters), the Deutsche Bank Twin Towers is a conjoined set of tall, glassy skyscrapers that dwarfs the rest of Frankfurt’s historic center. As its name suggests, these shiny towers make up the headquarters of Germany’s most prominent bank. Add a visit to Deutsche Bank Twin Towers to your Frankfurt itinerary to capture photos of this iconic landmark.

Notice how the towers seem light blue when viewed from below. They appear a much darker tone when seen from up high, when they reflect the ground. The glass is cut at diverging angles, adding a modern feel to the structure. The Deutsche Bank insignia, which features a square and a diagonal line, is carved into the upper reaches of each tower.

The skyscrapers actually stem from one connecting base. Admire the modern feel of this podium, with its symmetrical trapezoidal form. Stroll around the pedestrian plaza outside the entrance and gaze up at the enormous towers. Just outside the headquarters is a string of restaurants serving international cuisine.

Enjoy the view of the twin towers and neighboring financial centers from the adjacent Rothschild Park, a vast green area in Frankfurt’s central business district. Bring supplies for a picnic on its grassy lawn.

Note that locals sometimes refer to the two towers as Debit and Credit, in reference to their financial significance. The skyscrapers were constructed from 1979 to 1984 with the initial intention of serving as a hotel, before Deutsche Bank decided to move here.

The Deutsche Bank Twin Towers rise from the Westend-Süd district at the western end of the historic center of Frankfurt. Travel by S-Bahn to the Frankfurt Taunusanlage station or the U-Bahn to the Alte Oper stop.

Make sure to stop at other sights in the area, including the Elsa-Brändström Platz, the Opernturm and the Alte Oper Frankfurt opera house.
