"We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Hotel Aachen. The room was clean and staff quickly responded to our request for extra pillows (we originally only had one each). "The property is very close to the train stations, so that's a plus. There is no lobby, and the hotel is completely unstaffed. The self-checkin was not very easy to navigate, and if you have a card that does not work, you're out of luck. The listing did not clarify that this hotel does not have a lobby or staff. Also, since no staff at hotel, you cannot leave your bags for the day to go explore. I ended up leaving the city early because I could not leave my luggage at the hotel for the day before catching the train. "
