"The rooms are definitely not soundproof the first room the toilet didn’t work. The mini bar was not very well stocked for the additional spend. However, the staff to try their best"

"Unfortunately our package included entrance to the spa , on arriving I enquired about using the spa but the receptionist said it was best to give the spa a miss as it was so hot it was like a greenhouse . As we had driven a way we didn’t want to be over heated rather have an hour relaxing before going out for the evening . Instead we looked for an outside area to sit and unwind with a cold drink . We found a seating area with a couple of tables . There was quite a lot of cups , glasses and plates on each table and a lot of ants on these . They still remained uncollected when we went out in the evening . Our room did have a small fan provided but unfortunately the fan caught in the grating protecting this emitting a loud screech . We found this out once we had retired for the night so didn’t request a different one and didn’t use it . The breakfast was very good and the waiting staff pleasant and efficient ."

"The hotel needs to round off the handles on the room doors. Mine was razor-sharp and when I checked in the door handle cut my little finger halfway up its length. Since door handles are often handled by dirty hands, they are a vector for disease and it’s just a matter of time until the hotel faces a major lawsuit. The attached photo shows the length of the cut after four days of healing."

"We stayed in a superior room with lake view and was amazed on how beautiful the room and view were. We were very fortunate to have a room with veranda where we sat and just enjoyed the peace of our surroundings and the stunning lake. Breakfast was very nice as always and plenty to choose from. We didn't use to pool or spa as we were happy enjoying the sunshine and our veranda. Close to Chepstow Town centre. Friendly staff and easy check in."
