Good stay
I loved the way that the b&b its so clean and smell sooo nice. The only issue that we have was car park as they were full so we had to park in another street (the hotel Avenue was also full). But in general it was a good stay :)

Shade was broken. Mattress was worn out. Sagged in the middle and we could feel every spring. Was billed as a B&B but there was no breakfast.

OK place in a nice neighborhood
Nice person helping. Not close to city center, bus service is a few blocks away. Our room has small maintenance details unattended (trim, broken window handle).

They told me they had a problem with the room and could not stay there on my arrival. No advanced warning or phone call. I suspect they let my room out to someone else. When I called the mobile number as a contact it went straight to voicemail. Had to look for another place to at at9.00pm at night. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Good for the price with a couple of flaws
Good for the price, no water on the first morning with no real explanation or apology. Check in was a little flawed because they couldn’t seem to find my booking. Very clean and my room was lovely so all in all the stay was good.

We were led to believe it was a hotel with quality rooms but was more of a B&B. The rooms were nothing special (converted living room) and the toilet was upstairs. Bed linen wasn't ironed.

1. Liked the proximity of the property to where my nephew lived. 2. Liked the bed. 3. Liked we were able to make tea. 4. Liked the breakfast, but it’s extra 7 euros per person. Problems we had with the property: 1. No room to leave suitcases open. 2. I liked the shower but there wasn’t any shelves for shampoo, or a place for my razor and shave cream except on the floor. 3. The light over the sink didn’t work or we couldn’t figure out how to make it work.

Very good
Really nice room, plenty of space in the accommodation. Very friendly. Parking was a small negative as it wasn’t clear where the best place to park was on the street. Also you can hear everything from other rooms. Apart from that I would definitely stay again.

The room was clean tidy and comfortable. When we arrived we were told that breakfast wasn't included in the price and that the room had no bathroom. I was shown where the bathroom was by a member of staff in the afternoon but the next morning was informed that this was a staff bathroom. Overall all I was a little disappointed considering the price of the room

Not a nice place dirty and grubby family room €99 is a joke it’s not worth .99 cent traffic noise kept us awake all night dirty finger prints all over the walls. Dangerous door lock infact it actually fell off. Dump

La habitación estaba limpia aunque un poco descuidada (todas las paredes tenían marcas), las primeras toallas que nos dieron estaban bastante mal y no había secador (aunque ponía que si disponía de uno). Siendo un B&B el breakfast no está incluido en el precio aunque no es muy caro y es bastante completo. La parte positiva es el servicio, muy atenta y agradable. La situación para ir al centro no es lo mejor, en nuestro caso era por que tenemos amigos cerca, pero a poco que andes hacia la costa hay algo más de ambiente, pero no demasiado.

Close to the Ferry for home
The property has obviously been recently renovated and was clean and comfortable but provided Very few amenities. There were no glasses ,limited soap,shampoo etc. And it was 150 Euro per night for room only ......way too expensive ! We only paid 71 Euro for the Maldron Hotel & Spa and had all the facilities of a hotel chain ! This was over the top expensive !

Went to check in to discover that had NO ROOM
Nothing much worse than driving for hours to your confirmed reservation to be told " sorry, we have no room for you". To top this off, I was still there at midnight - ( 11/2 hours after arrival) and they could not find me another lodging. Therefore I have nothing good to say.

Ce n'était qu'une étape d'une journée sur Dublin. Nous pensions que c'était un hôtel, c'est plutôt une chambre chez l'habitant. Celle-ci était grande et propre au rez de chaussée. Nous avions une belle salle de bain privée, mais elle se trouvait à l'étage.

Cheguei a Dublin com minha confirmação de reserva do b&b (Avoca Lodge) e fiz o check-in. A cama estava com defeito e nao havia banheiro no quarto. Na noite seguinte, a funcionária da casa (muito educada) veio me dizer que me deu o quarto por engano, e que o mesmo estava reservado para outras pessoas mas ela se enganou ao me deixar fazer o check-in. Eu disse que não entendi e pedi para falar com a dona porque a Expedia me mandou várias confirmações e inclusive eu as tinha em mãos. Então a dona (Vivi) de modo bastante grosseiro disse que meu cartão de crédito tinha sido rejeitado no momento da reserva e por isso a reserva tinha cancelada. Mesmo eu comprovando que a reserva estava confirmadíssima na minha conta do Expedia, ela me expulsou. Eu não tinha mais lugar pra ficar e nem tempo para procurar outro lugar, ainda mais quando a culpa não era minha! Então, eu fui bem direta com a dona e disse que ou ela me arranjava outro quarto na casa ou me acomodava em outra casa mais perto do centro pelo mesmo valor. Ela optou pela segunda opção. Porém, era uma outra acomodação dela, chamada Addison Lodge. Realmente era mais perto do centro, porém estava IMUNDA, sem água quente e sem aquecedor. Pra encerrar essa história de horror, eu paguei in cash mas ela ficou me devendo 4 euros de troco, porém ela não me deu!!! Ignorou minhas mensagens no Whatsapp e não me pagou. Reclamei com a funcionária dessa casa (muito educada também) e ela mesma me deu com seu próprio dinheiro, pois a dona não de

Großzügig ausgebautes ehemaliges Privathaus
Bei meiner Ankunft wurde ich sehr freundlich von einer jungen Dame begrüßt. Nach dem CheckIn in der Küche/Frühstückszimmer, wurde mir das Zimmer und Bad gezeigt. Als Einzelgast bezog ich das Zimmer im Parterre, dem ehemaligen Wohnzimmer direkt neben! der Haustür zur Front. Es ist ein großes Zimmer mit Doppelbett und Einzelbett, einem zweitürigen Schrank und viel Platz für einige große Koffer, die hinter dem Fenstervorgang nicht im Wege stehen. Der obligatorische Wasserkocher, Kaffee und Tee fehlen auch nicht. Ein Schreibtisch hätte neben dem Kamin auch noch Platz. (Zustellbett?) Nun zum "privaten externen" Bad: Es liegt im ersten Stock ... und ist riesig. Große Dusche mit sehr gutem Wasserdruck (erwähnenswert in Dublin) und Badewanne mit "Blubber" ;-) Dieses Bad macht den u.U. unangenehmen Weg über ein Stockwerk hinweg bei weitem wieder wett. Das Zimmer ist sauber - auch unter der Matraze, ebenso das Bad. Das Haus liegt etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums an einer durchaus gut, wenn auch nicht übermäßig befahrenen Straße. Bushaltestellen (Stop 1764 und 1774 Blackheath Park) sind sind keine Minute vom Haus entfernt. Bus 130 von/nach Abbey Road Lower. Bus 104 von/zur Dart Station "Killester" (Ziel: Howth) Parkplätze sind, ggf. problemlos auf der Straße zu finden.

You Get What You Pay For
Booked this through Expedia as it was much cheaper than anywhere else in Dublin. Site said that the bathroom was exclusive, but not en-suite.What it didn't say that it was on a different floor. Room 1 (which we booked) is a converted living room on the ground floor, with the (admittedly) nice bath room up a couple of flight of stairs, sandwiched between rooms 2,3 & 4. So check which room you have been allocated, as you may need to take a dressing gown. The room was very dusty and the full length mirror was cracked. The TV had very poor reception, although with the free WiFi we were able to watch the UK channels via the old interweb thingy on our phones/laptop . The bed though was very comfortable. Having complained about the state of the room and the TV we were moved the next day up to the top of the house/attic (Room 6), which, again, had a seperate bathroom, but at least it was on the same level. Same problem with the TV and the bed was sinking in the middle and noises from the the heating system all night. Only had the full Irish breakfast whilst there, which was well cooked, but could use some side plates for the toast, a slight niggle I know but when you have issues with the accommodation then it is the small things that really mount up. Staff -good, but I think they had heard the complaints, especially about Room 1 many times before. It was cheap (about half the price of other B&B places of a similar rating). The good reviews I think are for the rooms on the 1st floor

Fine rene værelser i et roligt område. God morgenmad kan tilkøbes. Ingen daglig roomservice er OK, men info herom ville have været fint. Nem togtransport til centrum.

Conveniently located, quiet, clean and comfortable
Last minute booking for a stay in Dublin, about a 10 min drive from the city, beautiful seafront location close to very reasonably priced restaurants. Arrived late in the evening and was greeted by a very friendly woman who showed us to our room. Clean, spacious, modern and extremely well maintained room, provided with toiletries. Wonderful shower and again, a clean bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
