Amazing hotel! Great stay - only 20 min taxi from Dubrovnik or 30 min boat ride. Would recommend to anyone going to Dubrovnik or wanting a nice relaxed hotel stay.

Great stay!

Stayed here for 10 nights. The staff were very friendly and had good English. We were given clean towels everyday and beds were made daily. Mlini was stunning, nice to stay a short distance outside the busyness of Dubrovnik old town. It was about 12-25€ for an Uber into the old town, depending on the time. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back!

The property was great and the staff very helpfull, breakfast was not bad and the facilities were great. The only negative is that, there were not enough loungers around the pool which led to some challanges other than that we had a great stay.

A clean fairly large hotel with wonderful views of the sea and surroundings. Great location to access a couple of trips by boat and a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Helpful staff and a good range breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean, fairly basic but fine. Beach access and pool were both easy. Despite all the signs, people still put towels down early in the day. They were at least free - as the beach area charges nearly 50 euro for our group of 4 per day which is very expensive.

Rooms are very small & in need of updating. Definitely a 3 star hotel. Room was clean though. Safe area. Very nice view of the sea & sunset. Dinner buffet was average, very cafeteria like food. Not worth 28 euros/person. Convenient location to the Dubrovnik airport- thats why we chose it. Only stayed 1 night.

The best stay, will definitely return.

We had the most wonderful stay. Beautiful scenery. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us a bottle of complimentary wine and which is so thoughtful of them. The hotel was just outside Dubrovnik and a ferry ride will take you there in 30minutes. The breakfast was plentiful, wide variety and fresh food and drinks. Onsite restaurants were really nice especially the pizza restaurant. There was indoor pool, outdoor pool and the sea, blue as far as the eye can see. Facilities were clean, sauna was working and you can rent beach towels for €20 per person per stay. We stayed at the annex and it was separate from the main hotel but still to high standards. We've had the best stay and will definitely return.

Family trip in September

Great hotel about 20 minutes from the airport and another 15 minutes from Dubrovnik Old Town by car. Beds were very comfortable and room had coffee/tea making facilities, mini fridge and hairdryer. Buffet breakfast choices were many and varied but buffet dinner a bit uninspired. Hotel facilities very good with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam rooms, gym and spa treatments available. Pebbly beach and extra charge for beach loungers and umbrellas.Good, choice of restaurants along the seafront- a small, quiet resort so not over crowded and all very welcoming, polite and clean. Great ice cream choices!

Amazing stay in April

Friendly staff, modern renovated design is very nice particularly the pool and spa area. Room was super clean and tidy, with an amazing balcony view from the annex. The beach and Mlini area are lovely and all close by.

The rooms were to small and lack storage space , no drawers for underwear etc and could do with soft close doors, people letting them slam shut .That is the only negative . Great location and hotel pools first class.

Clean rooms. Good food. For the dinner buffet you have to pay for water. I guess «regular water» is served for free during breakfast. You also have to pay for parasol and sunbed for the beach right at the hotel. Lovely public beaches all the way and lovely village.

We had a Beautiful Stay. Staff was lovely and hotel was clean. We loved sauna and steam. Outdoor pool was nice as well along with sun beds. Only issue/feedback that we had that there is no Lift in annex building and my wife found hard to use stairs every time due to Arthritis.

Wow! What an incredible resort! So much to do here and see! If you have children, this is a great place for them too! When we checked in, we were notified we were in a different building. Our front end staff carried our luggage to a golf cart, drove us the 30 seconds to the other building, unloaded our luggage and carried it up the stairs for us into our room. Our tummies were hungry so on the advise of one of the fabulous bartenders we strolled over to the pizza and spaghetti house where we sat outside enjoying the water and a lovely glass of Rose followed by an incredible pizza that we shared. We swam in the Adriatic Sea and then went to check out the gorgeous pools. For us, dinner AND breakfast buffets were included…oh my! They were both fantastic!! If you don’t love the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place to stay! It’s about 15 minutes outside of Old Town and worth it! We’ve already discussed coming back and doing a family vacation here. Great place, great staff, great food and great grounds!!

Checked in at the renovated Astarea hotel which looked beautiful. Was disappointed to be then directed over the car park to the annex hotel which looks like it dates back to the 60’s. The room was tiny and basic but it was clean and functional. A great shower and there is a fridge and kettle. Breakfast was very crowded and the food disappeared quickly but was replenished quick enough. Queues for the coffee machine. The pool was lovely, yes you do have to get there fairly early to get a lounger or you can pay for a lounger on the beach. Not many places in Mlini to eat but there are a few choices. Overall the experience was fine but could have been better. You get what you pay for!!

Really nice stay at Astarea, positives are clean modern room, super comfy beds, we are a family of 4 and had 2 interconnected rooms on the package with proper beds for the kids, not a sofa bed, which was great. Also table tennis, table football, pool, gaming room, gym, sauna and huge indoor pool to keep our hyper boys busy. The area is lovely with a few nice restaurants and boat taxis to Dubrovnik and a lovely place called Cavtat. Negatives buffet breakfast is fine but I wasn’t a fan of the cooked food, but nice bread and cheese and porridge, fruits etc. The staff in the restaurants are working flat out, so seem a bit stressed and tired. Reception staff not overly friendly, but a lovely guy checked us out. Cleaning staff fabulous. Pool area very difficult to get a lounger, although this had improved by time we left, with towels removed after 30 minutes unoccupied. Beach you need to pay for loungers/umbrellas and is quite expensive. Really nice hotel with some caveats.

No mention on Expedia that we would incur 28EUR/day cost for sunloungers/umbrella. Indoor pool was closed 7 out of 9 days. 1 of the 2 lifts was broken for majority of stay. Room was cramped but with modern fittings. Housekeeping were excellent.
