Terrific resort in an engaging vacation town. The amenities at the resort were awesome, and the town has many bars, restaurants, and shops. Our flight was very early, before breakfast was served, so the staff prepared a bag breakfast for us to take to the airport. The sunset from our balcony was spectacular! Just minutes from the Dubrovnik airport. Live entertainment. The only complaint we have is that we didn’t have more time to stay at the resort.

Decent stay, but poor value for the price Our initial impressions were disappointing, although things did improve once we settled in. The main issue is the price versus what you get. At around $250 per night, we expected a more modern and better-maintained hotel. The property is clearly older and there is considerable wear and tear. The air conditioning is also an issue, particularly in Block B, where the corridors can be very warm and there doesn’t seem to be enough cool air throughout the building. We also had a screaming baby next door, which made us realise the walls are quite thin and sound insulation is limited. The rooms are functional but basic for the price, and the games room is very run down, with broken table-tennis balls and pool cues missing their tips. Parking can also be difficult when the hotel is busy. The buffet meals were a positive — good food and plenty of vegetarian options. However, the stained tables and chairs again highlight the general age and wear of the property. On a positive note, the bar staff kindly gave us ice for a day trip, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated. Overall, it’s not a terrible hotel and we did enjoy parts of our stay, but the hotel needs significant investment and updating to justify the rates being charged. At a lower price, the shortcomings would be easier to accept. At $250 a night, we expected considerably more.

This hotel is in a perfect location on the seashore and only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Cavtat is within easy walking distance and offers restaurants, souvenir shops & supermarkets. It is a beautiful spot with super-yachts in the bays & small beaches mostly pebble all along the coast on either side of the hotel. The hotel food was fresh & plentiful if a bit different from Uk/SA food but to be expected in another country. The indoor pool is a really great space and the jacuzzi was well cleaned daily. One slight inconvenience was a very loud disco outside one evening. A bit strange as there were a few toddlers ‘dancing’ and a total of three tables of people in attendance. The sound in the bedrooms was very loud. It went on until 10.30pm not late but 90% of residents were already in their rooms. On the whole this hotel is clean, convenient, has good facilities, plenty of food on the buffet. The pools are all well maintained and the gardens are lovely. Easy holiday & I hope we get back one day.’

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Albatros! The all-inclusive package made everything so easy—great food with plenty of variety, refreshing drinks, and friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect for relaxing by the sea, and the views are breathtaking. Definitely recommend for a stress-free vacation!

We went in late June early July. Great staff who were really helpful , lovely spacious hotel with relaxed feel and outstanding views (we got sea view with balcony) . Lovely walk around Cavtat peninsula. So pretty. Stunning sunsets. Food and drink (cocktails tea coffee wine beer, g&t) was excellent local fares (we went out of season) . Kept clean and run efficiently. Games room nice pool table, darts, table football, ping pong. Tennis court. sauna steam jacuzzi indoor pool all good. Bit of a faff with the pool towels return. Also Ladies changing room in health suite strangely doesn't close or lock, so no privacy - be warned, but can change in wcs. But all in all wonderful. To be comfortable bring your water shoes as it is pebbles . Calm sea. We went to Dubrovnik on ferry outside hotel 15 euro rtn. Went to Montenegro too which was awesome. Hotel does pack lunch if you tell them day before as food outside is UK prices.

The property was beautiful, great views, an abundance of activities and very accessible by water and taxi. The resort was very nice. The food options were minimal but very yummy. The room was nice and we had a wonderful view of the sea! I will definitely stay here again.
