"The chair and stool were filthy. We didn’t even sit on it. The air conditioner had exposed wires hanging out from the bottom. A very loud noise coming from the bathroom vent (possibly from upstairs) ceiling that wouldn’t stop. It lasted all day and all night from both nights we were there. We couldn’t sell and couldn’t hear the tv. Cockroach was on the bathroom counter in our room. Cleaning staff did make the bed and bring up clean towels. They only provide a continental breakfast but didn’t use mic to offer. The orange juice machine was out of order. The entire place inside and out smelled like weed."
"I booked a handicapped room since I recently had knee replacement surgery and wanted to make sure I had a shower with grab bars. I had just driven 10 hours and as tired. When I got to my room there were no drapes on the window which faced an apartment complex. I went back downstairs and they said the drapes were being fixed and was scheduled to be installed the next day . I said “so there are no window covering in the room?” They affirmed and said the could change my room. So they gave me a room on the next floor, I moved my luggage to that room. I left the room to get ice and realized when I returned that the door’s security lock would not work AND the door did not shut completely after several attempts. BACK DOWNSTAIRS to the front desk, explained the issuer, she said “You have to lift up the handle and push the door shut on that door…and it was scheduled to be fixed the next day. I was able to close the door but the security lock would not work so I used both safety latches and put my cooler against the door so I could hear if someone tried to enter. And this handicapped room had a nice Keurig coffee maker that was on a shelf almost 5 feet high. I, being not quite 5 feet tall had issues pouring water into the reservoir. I’m sure someone in a wheelchair would’ve had to do without or call someone to move it to a lower place. I have always loved Holiday Inn, especially the Express but this was terrible. Clean and pretty hotel but I was very disappointed."
