La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hattiesburg - I-59
2/10 Terrible
"My room was a pet room. The floor in the entry and bathroom were filthy. The room smelled like urine. Fake eye lash in between the sheets. Not worth the money."
"Shower had very low volume and pressure. The television had not worked at any time during our stay. Kept running out of food at breakfast, only filled as needed, long delay to refill. Small things needed repair, handle on toilet, air handler cover, yv, shower, toilet seat. That being said I would return due to staff and clean facility, good food at breakfast, though slow getting out."
"We were not impressed with the hotel. It was an ok place to sleep for one night. The hotel needs a lot of cleaning. Small details make a big impression. The vents and whole ac unit in our room (208) was nasty. The hallway smelled. The stairway carpet is disgusting and smells bad. The breakfast area wasn’t kept clean. The tables were dirty and still had trash from previous parties eating there. Keep in mind the hotel was not busy in the breakfast area at 9am when we went down. We sat at the long table near the kitchen/prep area and when people went in and out of the kitchen/prep area I could see a large bag of the little egg inlet things just sitting out in the open on a high top chair. The staff wasn’t restocking anything at that point.
Due to these cleanliness issues we will not be staying at the Wingate again when we come to town. To me that says something because we will be in town every couple of months for the next three years. So unfortunately you have lost our business due to staff not being willing to maintain hotel cleanliness. Just simple spot cleaning ( sweeping the floor mid day/check-in time or when tracks are made would be helpful). "
"Do not stay here. The room door did not work, the staff was very rude and the air conditioner did not work. The rooms are old and it certainly does not meet the standard you would expect with the Hilton name attached. "
"There was a brown substance on the doorframe of my hotel room bathroom to start. I wiped it off and prayed it wasn’t what I thought it could be. The next morning the ceiling was leaking. I called the front desk and notified of the leak and asked if I was on the top floor because it was raining and I was told no. I requested a different room and was told maintenance wasn’t here yet. I was told I would have to go down to the desk to get a key. I wasn’t presentable at that point so I said I’m just going to get in the shower. While I’m in the shower, maintenance and the manager came in my room! I yelled, EXCUSE ME!! I’m in the shower!!! Get out! The manager told me we had to check there was no flooding because she was told there was a flood in my room. I never mentioned a flood only the ceiling was leaking. I asked why didn’t you go to the floor above me and check that room, the manager replied that we wanted to see if you were flooding. I said well, it would make better sense to get yo the room and find out where the water is coming from so you can stop it. When maintenance finally came back I asked if I was in the top floor and sure enough I was which meant the roof was leaking. Do the front desk and including the manager didn’t know my fourth floor was the top floor and there is not another floor above me??I have pictures of the room ceiling leak and also how awful the walls in the hallways looked. Also the air wouldn’t regulate and I was cold the bedspread had a big yellow st"
"We got are room and the room smelt like weed and cigarettes sheets burnt holes pillowcases stained towels stained we even scared to eat breakfast got up early just to get out of there"
