We walk to the property from the train station and it was not too bad. The property itself had lots of character and the rooms were adorable. Overall a very good experience.

Work away trip

Good hotel clean and polite only problem was its stated high speed broadband which it was not , i had 4 hours paper work each night i was there which i couldnt do. Thata my only gripe

The hotel was good value conmpared with other Dumfries properties but this is probably becasue the rooms are extrmely 'tired', so don't expect too much/ The staff and breakfast in the Caledonian hotel next door were very good.

Did not feel welcome. Banging doors disturbed sleep. Bed very soft. Shower poor. Water hot one minute cold next. Power in shower started off ok but lessened during shower. Breakfast self serve was hot and tasty. "Sit where you want and help yourselves ' then walked away was the only communication we had. Too busy talking to each other. Had to ask who we had to give key too on checking out. Waitress just took it. Disappointed over all...

The check in for this property is next door at the Caledonian Hotel. The Guest House has been updated, however the rooms are small, only a bed. Ensuite bathroom was updated and clean. I only stayed 1 night.

Fab breakfast

Very nice hotel - easy check in procedure. Only stayed the one night but no issues whatsoever. Very comfy large bed. Breakfast was amazing portions and thickly cut bacon.

Good location and good value

The room was spacious and well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. Extremely quite room at the back of the property. Short walk into town although the hotel next door does a small range of meals, and also is where you get breakfast. The pre ordered cooked breakfast was huge! Good value all round.
