Older motel but very clean. Comfortable chairs with footrests that you don't find in modern motels. Roomy unit with separate bedroom. Very helpful owner. Parking was under the unit or on the road. We chose the road, the car was safe, and it meant we could park right outside our unit. Close to the motorway for a quick trip to the airport.

Best stay ever!
We stayed there for a total of 2 nights and 2 days! It was the absolute best!! Excellent, friendly and welcoming customer service. Great location, it’s close to the city and close to all the shops, attractions, etc. the place is super tidy, it is not a modern design but it is very homely and spotless! Plenty of parking, you can park privately on the residence or road side. Comfortable furniture, they have plenty of heating options that allow you to stay warm and cosy especially with the harsh coldness of Dunedin! Amazing price, it is an absolute steal! So lucky I spotted it whilst surfing the web for accommodations. Thank you once again Carisbrook Motel, we will definitely check in with you again, next time we are in Dunedin!

Everything you need for a short or long stay. We stayed upstairs on Carisbrook road, and could park at our door. Well equipped unit with everything you might need. Best showers in NZ. Excellent location. Really enjoyed our time there.

Definitely an older motel and the facilities are aging but the room was comfortable, bed was nice and comfortable. The curtains didn't keep all the light out which was a bit annoying.

Quite, quaint, quomfortable.
The motel is rather dated but the room and bed was comfortable and quiet. The room had a separate bedroom along with a separate toilet inside the bathroom. For the price it was very good value and I would stay again if I needed a cheap room for the night.

The motel is well positioned close to the central city. It is away from the student quarter so quieter. It is easy to acess motorway. It is easy to acess st kilda and waterfront and the large format stores. Only thing that went wrong leak in bedroom, owner fixing it. A night of heavy rain.

reasonable budget motel in Dunedin
Carisbrook Motel is a fairly priced mid range motel in Dunedin, providing all the basic needs in an adequate manner. Good location, though a bit of a hassle re car parking if you are in an upper level, but this is a minor quibble.

Handy to the City. Spacious units. Shower head is very small but pressure is good. Older units but very clean and tidy with everything you need.

Even tho the property was right near a road we didn't hear alot of road noise during the night . Had everything we needed and lovely and warm. Hosts were very welcoming and place was very tidy. Would happily stay here again.

My arrival was warm and welcoming and my accommodation was spacious with separate bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and a bonus of a good sizes shower. I had two parking options, undercover or parking on the road just outside my room. The Carisbrook Motel is in a great location and I will definitely stay again and recommend to others.
