Everything was perfect about the stay and the staff went above and beyond to let us check in late! However, it was shown on Expedia that we would be staying in the castle and that is under construction until 2029. Until then you have to stay in the townhouses - which were spectacular but it was not the castle, as advertised.

Incredible grounds, room was clean and bed was comfortable. The shared living room and kitchen space was unique and a neat idea. Restaurant was clean, good prices, and friendly staff. Absolutely recommend. The Hill of Tara is close and is a great spot to tour while staying.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in the countryside but conveniently located near major roads too. Staff were kind and helpful, although only 1 check in desk with 1 person checking people in so there was a wait. Beautiful room within a lodge. Very modern and a good size. Wonderful views over the golf course and country.

Beautiful property and the rooms were air conditioned! I did think we would be staying in a castle, but apparently the castle is closed and under renovations being prepared to become an actual hotel, and the monastery onsite was also fenced off, so you couldn’t access the inside of it. If you want to golf, this is the place! Also the food was mediocre and expensive, and our dinner took a total of 2 hours from the time someone took our order to the time someone cashed us out.

A beautiful setting and only 30 minutes drive from Dublin airport. The breakfast is excellent (try the smoked salmon!). The rooms are enormous and the bathroom is also very big. Very rare! On the downside - the price for one night. I have stayed in Killeen Castle before, for one night, before going to Dublin airport the next day. I seem to recall that the price was much lower. This time I paid Euros 238 for one person, bed and breakfast. But perhaps it was a higher rate because it was a Saturday.
