Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"We choose Serenade hotel because of the beautiful and shallow beach. Great ocean without waves. But this is only good part about the stay the rest was terrible. Stuff at the buffet very bad. They gave us a table , while we were grabbing a food, nobody cleaned the table. No water or silverware. We got back to the table and were waiting minimum 10 minutes trying to find a table service, who can bring us at list forks. Front desk service also forgets about your needs . First day I asked iron, front desk guy told me he would send me a steamer to the room . Of course it didn’t happen. But the worth part happened when sink in my room got clogged up with previous tourists hair. First day water in the sink will go down very slow, but I did not pay attention. Second day after we took shower I noticed a lot of water under the sink. I called to front desk asked about maintenance guy . He came in a little bit tried to fix it he open up pipes under the sink and cleaned all this discussing stuff from it and left on the floor in the bathroom "
"If you are young and like Latino music and dance this place is great. If you about lazy and a lot of alcohol, baking food this is great. I personally missed the regular international disco party and dairy variety. Also beach could be more friendly to walk and swim."
Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"An honest review. Rooms are clean, but smell musty until you adjust the thermostat to 74 and low fan speed. Too much AC and humidity mix causes the smell. The resort staff are friendly and try their best to help you enjoy your stay, but language is definitely a barrier. I will not hold that against them because I can't speak Spanish either. Property grounds are exceptional! Amenities are abundant. Great for adults and children with plenty to do. Pool area was beautiful and the water park was great...even for our 2 year old granddaughter. Towel game is always in play but I had no problem finding a spot for 5 at 8:00am. Check in was relatively easy but they always try to upsell. I'll take care of you if you take care of me is a common theme. Doesn't matter which room you stay in you will hear everything outside your door. Bars....pack your patience, slow service....hold a $5 bill in your hand then they look at you. Drinks are good, but you may get faster service if you wait for someone to come around and ask you. Food is good for the most part, buffet has good options and excellent pizza. Tried a few restaurants and they are decent, nothing to right home about, but depending on how busy the resort is you may not get in unless you book 2 days out. Beach is nice but the ocean is weedy. If I were to go back to the DR I would stay here again."
"Room were good but cleaning was always late
The fan in the room was constantly running could not be turned off
Safe was not working the first day but got fixed the next day
"
"I give it 6.8/10. Had a couple of problems with the room but the staff was understanding and friendly about it. Love how many pools there are, and the beach. The activities were just very limited when it came to English speakers. "
